Our week

I know it was a rough Monday when I didn't take a single picture.

Monday's are always rough and then I got to work, was given an assignment with a quick turnaround and lots of stress. I was a stressed out, anxious mess most of the day.

That night I had a youth meeting for church and I was so tempted to skip, but I was going to miss Thursday's meeting so I went. The highway was shut down and I was 20 minutes late for the meeting and felt so bad and frustrated. But we made it. Chloe went along with me and she was a good girl. One of the co-chairs scooped her up and kept her entertained the whole meeting. Ms. Angelica wanted to take her home.

I have been wanting to get more involved at chuch and I like it but it has just come at a tough time (is there ever a good time?)

Tuesday morning Chloe wore this cute romper from Aunt Lala to school. It is fallish but it is size 9 month in Carters so she needs to wear it now before it is too small. And I figured since she is in a cool airconditioned room all day she would be fine. I think she agreed.

That expressive little face just kills me.

I snapped a quick picture of the boys before the got on the bus.

And took this picture of Casen. He passed his first sight word test!! It took a lot of practice and patience to get it done so we were all excited. It was a team effort for sure.

Some things don't come easy to Casen (memorization is one of them) so it takes a lot of persistence and out of the box thinking to help him learn sight words. So proud of our boy!

And then he came home from school that day and had lost not one but two teeth! I am so glad he lost that top snaggle tooth, but poor kid doesn't have much to work with up front. That was tooth #5 and #6!

Tuesday was another crummy day at work that was so busy I had to call and cancel my eye appointment because I just couldn't get away.

Wednesday was picture day at school. Since we just did her 9 month pictures I decided to let her wear a handmedown dress from her cousins and she was looking so cute. But feeling stubborn and not interested in taking a picture.

Got one!

No pictures from Wednesday because it was our chaotic night of baseball and RE. I was really late getting to baseball thanks to continued work stress. Then Chloe and I raced to Aunt Lusa's house to pick up Kyle's birthday present and we visited a while so we were late getting home.

And though Wednesdays are tough I want to remember this memory. That night as we were saying prayers Casen said 'thank you for a fun Wednesday' and I said 'that's sweet. Why was it fun?' He said 'because I go to Jesus school and play baseball'

Thursday was Kyle's birthday. That night we picked up Chickfila and just kept the evening stress free. We gave Kyle his presents and had dessert.

This sweet boy doesn't get enough credit on the blog. He is just in a phase of life where he is easy and chill. But when I asked to take a picture of him he said yes and then said 'wait, now this one' and gave me a kiss on the cheek. He is so sweet and affectionate. I love him so much.

We decided to play Uno together but it was a bit of a challenge. We had a helper/destroyer.

We decided to give her a few Barbie Uno cards to play with and she had a blast. She spent 20 minutes just picking them up, dropping them, and throwing them over and over.

Friday morning Chloe was looking so cute in a 9 month outfit I bought for 4th of July that she could finally fit in. It is gap and there stuff runs bigger than Carter's.

She loved the sunglasses but kept putting them in her mouth and gagging herself. Silly girl

Cooper kept putting this puppy coin purse in front of her face and said take a picture...so I did. They thought it was hilarious.

I was so thankful it was Friday and that week was over!

Weekend recap 9/21

Saturday morning Kyle headed to Dallas to help his brother move. The kids and I got everything gathered up and headed to Tinsley's soccer game. She was so excited to see us and we loved seeing her out there. Our itty bitty girl was so aggressive and focused. Love her!

Casen brought his baseball stuff to practice. Tracen loved it! And Cooper was off playing on the playground with Mac.

Then we went to tennis lessons. Babi and Grandaddy came to watch which was nice to have the help.

When we got home we enjoyed some downtime. The boys did a dinosaur dig together and got their own protective eye wear. It was super cute...and messy but oh well

And someone was avoiding nap until mommy snuggled with her. I had a to-do list that didn't get done, but I really try to soak up these moments (and stress later).

That afternoon we went to a birthday party. Casen's friend Cris was turning 6 and we love this family. They have another son that is Cooper's age and the extended family is so nice and welcoming. It is fun for all of us.

Chloe is really working on her pulling up skills

There were lots of babies there including twins that were about 3 weeks younger (though bigger lol).

We went outside to watch the boys swim. She kept waving at everyone saying it was time to go.

Hard to see in this picture but the boys were non-stop swimming and having a blast.

We got home around 7:30 and it was a late dinner for this girl.

And this is what happens when you cough right as mommy puts the spoon to your mouth. Definitely bath night.

Casen after his bath asked me to take this picture :)

Chloe was looking way too grown up in her two piece Halloween jammies from Babi and Grandaddy. And we don't normally wear a bow to bed but for picture sake we did.

Sunday morning we woke up and all got ready for church. I didn't get a picture :( but we were all coordinated in variations of navy and mint.

This day was our 12 year wedding anniversary so we stood up in mass when they recognize any wedding anniversaries for that week. It is so fun seeing people married for 50+ years and the young families that are growing each year.

After mass it was lunch, chores, and naps for this snuggle bug.

Then Babi and Grandaddy came over to watch the kids so Kyle and I could celebrate our anniversary.

We started with Kohls, Ross, and Marshalls. I was looking for a dress for my cousin's wedding later this month that needs to be nursing friendly. I found this one and bought it but would still like to look for something else. I am glad that Kyle likes to shop.

After shopping we went to Mariano's for delicious Mexican food (they have THE BEST fajitas!). We finished our fancy night out (we were both wearing jeans, t-shirts and tennis shoes) with a CVS run and back home to our babies.

It wasn't anything special but it was perfect for us.

Our week

I took the picture below because at 4:30 in the morning Chloe woke up crying. I went and got her to bring to our bed and I tripped over that bucket and stumbled all the way to the wall before I caught myself. I was falling fast, yet in slow motion and I was so scared I was going to hurt Chloe. That was just the beginning of our rough Monday.

Just a random picture of the boys in the morning (I take so few pictures of them compared to Chloe)

This girl can be serious but always flashes that smile soon after

I went to work after a horrible commute, very stressful day, and then left early to get the boys to the dentist. I confused myself on what time school was over so we were 10 minutes late for the dentist. Luckily I realized it about 30 minutes ahead of time and called the dentist to let them know.

Chloe and I had a few minutes to play in the car while waiting for the boys.

Then we played and read magazines while the boys had their checkups.  Both got great reports!

And this is why we had to baby proof (we have only partially babyproofed so far).

Tuesday morning I was getting the boys ready for school when I heard a screaming cry from my room. As soon as I heard it I knew what happened and raced across the house. Chloe was asleep in my bed after nursing but woke up when I wasn't in the room and fell out of the bed.

Poor girl busted her mouth and had a puffy lip.

Casen got her a frozen teether to make her feel better.

Wednesday morning she was cracking us up because she had two pacis and couldn't decide which one she wanted. She would put one in and then grab the other and drop the first one out of her mouth. It was like a cycle and the boys thought it was so funny. (I caught it on video)

Wednesday night was a crazy night for us. Casen had baseball practice from 5:30-6:30 and then both boys have RE in Mansfield from 6:45-7:45. I met Kyle and the kids at the field with sonic for the kids. I watched for a while and then took Chloe home. Casen eats his dinner on the way to RE and they don't get home until 8:20.  It is a really crazy day but it is actually kind of nice to only have 1 week night of activities this fall. Cooper's tennis lessons are Saturday mornings.

So when we got home I did chores and then needed to take a bath. I gave Chloe some snacks and let her play next to me.  Of course she dumped the bowl of snacks out which was gross but she sure is cute.  (now I washed those fun baby bowls that have the silicone lid where they reach inside and shouldn't spill..we will see)

Thursday Cooper was playing with Chloe's nesting balls and did this. He asked me to take a picture :)

Then later that evening he and Casen were playing and he asked me to take this picture and send it to his friend Connor. This boy sure is growing up fast.

Friday morning someone was playing with my toes while I got ready :)

And that was our week. Once again there were lots of things that happened that I want to blog about but forget by the time I blog. I really need to keep notes each day, but you know....momma is busy
