Randoms

It has been a long time since a randoms post...maybe just a week : )

Cooper got the crayon tower for Christmas and we did some coloring with it.  Of course that was a bit challenging with sweet baby brother.

Casen looks alot like Kyle in the pictures below.  He just got done eating his waffle for breakfast.

Cooper often asks to cuddle and I love it!

Kyle kept Casen content in a box one day

Cooper has also recently decided that he 'can't go up the stairs by himself' or down the stairs either.  It is quite frustrating at times.  But recently I have been giving him piggy back rides up the stairs to bad.  For those who know how clumsy I am, this is probably not the smartest idea.  This also might explain some of my recent back pain.

This was Casen playing before his ENT consult for tubes.

This plug has clear safety covers.  I was not letting him play with electrical outlets.

He was all over the place.  But after being there for over 2 hours I just let him do his thing.

One day we expected rain so I let Cooper wear his rain boots to school...with shorts.

He loved it!

I can't remember if I mentioned it in a blog post or not, but the last Saturday of June Cooper hit his head on the corner of the coffee table and busted his head open.  I was home alone with the two boys and we were all still in pajamas.  It was pretty scary because there was so much blood.  After about 5 minutes of frantic phone calls and running around.  I decided that the bleeding had stopped so I should try to clean it and decide he we needed to go to the ER.  Below is after I cleaned it quite a bit and determined that stitches wouldn't be necessary.

One evening I took the boys to a school playground to play (there were 3 attempts because someone kept having potty emergencies and there were no pottys at the playground).  We caught this quick picture.

This was before Cooper's slumber party with Annelise and Catelyn while they were in Texas and before his birthday.

Someone enjoyed being an only child, but bath time was very different without his big brother.

Happy Thursday!

Family Pictures

You may remember in a randoms post here that I showed some outfits and how we wanted to recreate a picture.

Earlier this month our favorite Aunt Jen Jen took some family pictures for us.  It was horribly hot even at 10 in the morning.  Kyle was sick, Cooper was moody, and Casen was easily distracted.  In several pictures Cooper just wanted mommy which wasn't my plan (go ahead and roll your eyes).  Cooper was supposed to be closer to Kyle and I was supposed to be holding Casen for the outfits/colors to balance.  I had to quickly let that go and just go with the flow (that doesn't come natural to me, in case you didn't know).
Despite the heat and bad moods, Jen got some great pictures.  I hope you enjoy!

Below is my very favorite

Love this picture of Casen and I

Cooper is just doing what most of us wanted to do : )

He was supposed to be barefoot but hated the grass.  Luckily his flip flops matched.

Love this squinty eyed boy!

LOVE THIS PIC!

Remember Cooper in these overalls for his 1 year pics? They don't look much alike and that's okay with me.

Thank you Jen for taking such great pictures of us! We love you!

Weekend Recap

I am going to try to get back into the habit of doing our weekend recaps.

Friday night we went to Texas Roadhouse with the boys.  They are at a tough age right now with eating out.  Casen is constantly trying to escape his highchair and it seems like everywhere we ate the weekend the belt was broken on the highchair.  Cooper is just a busy 3 year old that sounds like screaming when talking in his regular voice.  Luckily the restaurant is always loud, but still.

Saturday morning Mimi picked up Casen to play.  Kyle and I took Cooper to see his first movie in the theater.  We decided to go with Aiden and his parents as well.

We bought Cooper the little kids packs and he ate popcorn almost the entire movie.  He got a little scared during one of the loud previews.  I couldn't believe how loud the movie was.  (Kyle and I haven't seen a movie in the theater in 18months!)  Kyle decided since it was a kids movie it might be louder because they know kids talk and make noise throughout the movie.

The boys did awesome! Cooper sat in his chair the whole time and loved the movie.  We definitely feel comfortable going to more movies in the future.

After the movie we picked up Casen and headed to Ennis.

Cooper got this little travel train set for his birthday and he loved playing with it.  The track folds together and sits in the little building.  Super convenient! And little brother is less likely to wreck havoc on the track.

We all went to dinner at a local mexican food place.

This is everyone, but I was holding Casen.  We had a good time but always miss my sister and her family.

The sun put lines across Cooper's face, but still a funny pic.

The boys having a serious conversation about hunting, cows, or corn.

After dinner that night we went to celebrate Marley's first birthday.  I didn't take any pictures : (

Sunday morning we went to church bright and early. Then we had lunch at Granny and Papa's.  And then we went to my cousin Corey's baby shower.

Again I didn't take any pictures : (

Sunday night we tried some new easy flat bread pizzas that I will share on my blog soon.

And Cooper and I ended the night with a game of matching.  Right now we turn them all face up and just look for the pairs of animals.  This set has a lot of pairs and with my hyper boy after an hour we hadn't finished!

I don't have a single picture of Casen all weekend!! WOW!! I promise he was with us and had a good time! Poor second child : )
