Dr Appt Update!

Today I had my 25 week appt and also my 1 hour glucose test. The last time I saw the doctor I was 20 weeks and we had just found out we were having a boy so a lot has changed since then. I am showing a lot more now and feeling more pregnant. When I got there I had to drink a really sweet orange flavored drink. I agree with those that say it tastes like orange triaminic. The first part wasn't bad but then you get tired of the flavor and just want some water. Then I would have my blood drawn 60 minutes later to see how my body handles the sugar and ultimately test for gestational diabetes. I will get the results in about 3 days or so. If I fail this test then I will be required to come back in for a 3 hour glucose test and unfortunately there are a lot of false positives with GD so hopefully I pass and don't have to go back in. I also met with the doctor and Cooper's heart rate was in the 150s which was perfect. I am measuring 26 weeks along based on their very basic estimates so only one week ahead. The doctor admitted that because I am so small and have a short torso at first glance she would guess I was more like 34 weeks. To be honest, that didn't surprise me. I feel huge and a lot of people comment that I seem big. We discussed the fact that my mom had to have c-section with us girls because she was so small and I also mentioned that my mother-in-law is very petite and was able to give birth to big boys without a c-section. She agreed that it could go either way with Cooper but we will just have to watch and see how my body handles him as he gets bigger. As long as he drops near the end things would look fine for a regular delivery. She agreed that she thinks Cooper will take after his daddy and be a big baby based on how things look now. Of course that can always change down the road. I really can't wait for him to get here and we get to see who he looks like and takes after. My next appointment is at 29 weeks and then I will start having appointments every 2 weeks.

25 Weeks!!

How Far Along: 25 weeks! 105 days until the due date! 62.5%!

Size of baby: Cooper is about 14-15 inches and about 1 1/2 lbs. My prego sources compare him to a rutabaga. He is now starting to pack on the baby fat and his skin will appear less wrinkly. He is also starting to get hair (I wonder if it will be black like his mommy!). Plus Cooper is now practicing his breathing and is able to hear the dogs bark! Lucky him!

Total Weight Gain/Loss: 16 lbs total! I am not sure if Cooper went through a growth spurt or if it had to do with the 4 cupcakes and many other desserts I had while we were in San Francisco.

Maternity Clothes: still a mix of maternity and my old clothes.

Gender: It's a boy!! Cooper Scott Cline!!!

Movement: Cooper is still very active at times and other times he must be sound asleep because I can't get him to move. Cooper's Aunt Angela felt him move at dinner last night! Annelise tried to feel him to but instead she tickled and poked at him!

Sleep: I toss and turn from side to side. Some nights I sleep better than others. Last night wasn't a good night because Kyle was sleeping restlessly and talking in his sleep.

What I miss: I can't think of anything right now.

Cravings: Still sweets and spicy!! I want dessert after every meal which really isn't something new to me I have just been indulging more since I am pregnant.

Symptoms: pressure from Cooper moving. I thought I saw my first stretch mark yesterday but instead I had just scratched myself and it was red. I am sure I will get stretch marks because I am bad at using lotions and because he sits so low I feel like he is pulling my skin down (no clue if that is true but it makes sense in my head).

Best Moment this week: We enjoyed our last vacation before becoming parents. We went to San Francisco with our friends and had a really good time.

Hardest Moment this week: It was a nice week since we were on vacation, but now adjusting to the time change has been tough on me.

Other news: Angela and Annelise made it into town and I finally got to see them! We had dinner with them last night and she was amazing. She was so sweet and gave me lots of attention which I love. Check out this sweet girl that I get to see again this weekend. Also Angela is going to help me finish my registry this weekend.

Shows I love to watch...beware there are a lot!

I love to watch tv shows, but I hate to watch commercials. I am also a huge multi-tasker which gets on Kyle's nerves sometimes. I enjoy watching a show while reading blogs, email or facebook or playing games on my iTouch. Then I will pause the show to get something to eat or do something around the house. Thanks to my DVR I am able to watch more shows and I am not restricted by the time of day they are on. I can wait and watch the shows on the weekend or whenever. My DVR is a blessing and a curse because it allows me to watch more shows but I have to be careful not to go overboard on the shows I watch.

Here are some of my favorite shows-

This is Tori Sp*lling's shows with her family that I have watched from the beginning and love. It has become more scripted over time, but I still love it.
This is Tori's new show that I am looking forward to watching

I hate to admit it but these are the ladies of Real Hous*wives of Orange County. The show is pure filthy rich trash but I still can't help but watch it some. The great thing about this show is that it isn't a must watch and they play re-runs all of the time!!

The Bachelor is a guilty pleasure of mine. Some seasons I watch and some seasons I don't. I say it is a guilty pleasure because it is very trashy at times, somewhat scripted or at least edited to make viewers think what the producers want them to think, and usually the relationships don't work. But despite all of the bad things about it I still enjoy the shows along with many friends and family so it is fun to follow along and talk about it with others.

I love Gr*y's Anatomy which I have also watched from the beginning!

Privat* Practice is the spin-off of Grey's that is another must watch!!

Of course The Office is a favorite of mine and Kyle's! We love this show with a passion and love to watch the re-runs that come on the cable channels. Our friends also like this show so it is a fun topic of conversation!

NCIS is a show I started watching on netflix and soon I had Kyle hooked. We now watch the new episodes together each week. Kyle and I like very different shows overall but it is nice to have a couple shows that we enjoy together.

19 Kids & Co*nting is one my favs that I don't feel guilty about. It isn't trashy, no bad language, and they have great morals. The concept of this family and especially the mom's voice bothers Kyle, but I love watching them. I can name all of the kids in order (I practice!!) and truly enjoy watching this family.

There are also other shows that I catch on re-runs like CSI, Law&Order, the several reality shows of the Kardashi*ns, the new 90210.

And of course some of the shows I used to watch, but had to cut out due to DVR slot conflicts or a diminishing interest like Dancing with the St*rs and Biggest Los*r.

I know I am forgetting shows like Project Runw*y, but I am embarrassed that I watch as many that I listed and will stop now. I know many of you will read this and think...just wait until Cooper comes, you will be lucky to watch 2 shows a week. But remember I am a great multi-tasker so we will see how it goes!! And until then I will enjoy my TV watching while I can!!

Baseball season!!

For those who don't know I am an avid Texas Rangers fan! I absolutely love them!!

Last year Kyle and I got to attend one of the playoff games. We saw them play the Yankees when we went to New York. I also got the chance to work a concession stand at one of the World Series games. In fact it was at that game that my mom and dad found out we were expecting Cooper!!

Anyway it is almost baseball season and I am SOOOO ready. The Rangers' first game is April 1st which is only 9 sleeps away!!! I can't wait! My mother-in-law bought me a Rangers maternity shirt that I can't wait to wear when we go to a game this spring which will be Cooper's "first Rangers game." Actually that is wrong since the first game he attended was a World Series game!!! Ugh how cool is that!! We also plan to take Cooper to a game after he is born and seriously I can't wait!!!

*courtesy of motherhood*

I have been so anxious for baseball season that I tried to convince Kyle that we should go to Arizona for our vacation this year so that I could see the Rangers at spring training just outside of Phoenix. We decided against it because it was over our vacation budget, but man I was tempted. Hopefully now that we are having a boy I can convince Kyle that we should try to visit every baseball stadium in the country. This is a dream of mine but hopefully Cooper and I will share this dream.

I have said it before that I really hope that Cooper loves baseball as much as his mommy. Kyle won't be the typical dad that pushes his kids too hard in sports. Though he was athletic growing up he really doesn't care about professional sports. Kyle isn't competitive by nature. He does enjoy going to Ranger games with me when we have the chance.

I on the other hand enjoy following professional sports, probably because I am very competitive by nature. I am not really a fan of basketball but I enjoy following professional football and of course baseball. I already joke that I am going to be the pushy parent that makes him play t-ball even though he hates it and makes him continue to play until he falls in love with it.

So now that baseball season is quickly approaching I have a dilemma. I like to watch EVERY Rangers' game. For those who don't know there are about 162 games a year for the Rangers and they last 3-4 hours each so that is a lot of hours I spend watching baseball. Not to mention all of the additional games if they plan in postseason like they did last year.

If we aren't going to the game then I watch it at home on tv and if we have plans that will conflict with the game I record it with the DVR. To be honest I usually like to record it so I can fast forward through the commercials and get straight to the good part! Plus there is the fact that the Rangers play in a division where the 3 other teams are all located on the west coast therefore the Rangers play a lot of games that don't start until nine and play until midnight. There is no way I can stay up that late and still function at work the next day so I will record it and if I missed something good I will watch the quick version from the DVR the next day when I get home from work! I know, I am sick!!

So ultimately the dilemma is that during baseball season I dominate the DVR with Ranger games and the other shows I love and it creates and issue for Kyle to watch TV. Therefore I think I am going to have to cave and order us a second DVR for this baseball season. I just can't imagine missing games or having to watch the crappy version of pitch by pitch on my laptop. Plus I know my time will be more limited and interrupted once Cooper gets here!

Man aren't you glad you read all of that! I know I sound crazy and silly and boy what problems I have. But this is something I have considered for several baseball seasons now and I think I am finally going to take the plunge and get another DVR. Yay for baseball season and me getting a sweet little boy to share my love of baseball with!! 9 more sleeps!!

Weekend Recap

Friday Kyle and I went to the mall after work. We had an awesome coupon for Old Navy so we found Kyle some things for vacation. I also finally remembered to take my gift card from Angela to Motherhood and bought 2 more maternity shirts. Then we joined Melisa and Trent at El Paseo for dinner.

Saturday morning we did some things around the house and David helped Kyle load up the big desk that was in the room that will be the nursery. My parents are letting us store the desk at their house for a while. We loaded up the dogs and headed to Ennis for the day. Kyle and my dad ran the tractors leveling out the yard for the old house while my mom and I peeled wallpaper off the walls. (They are fixing up their old house so they can sell it at some point and the wallpaper has to go so they can paint the walls.)

Then my mom's side of the family came over to have family game night. We all bring something to eat on and play our favorite card game of Murder. The game was a lot of fun and we enjoyed visiting but unfortunately it was very loud. The kiddos were running around and playing and we were all talking over each other. The kids loved playing with Ranger and Riley (especially Riley since she could play fetch 24/7) however at the end of the night Riley was a little overstimulated and had to go lay in bed with her Grandaddy. Around 10 o'clock we all cleaned up and headed home. It was a late drive home but Kyle and I had a lot to do on Sunday so we needed to get back.

Sunday morning I went to church with Melisa and Kyle stayed home and washed his truck. His truck really needed it and my car does to but we ran out of time. I went on a dreaded trip to Sam's after church. We hadn't been in probably 5 months (we are bad about using our card because their isn't one super close to us) and we needed to stock up on a lot of things.

Then Kyle and I headed out to run several errands and register at BRU. By the time we got to BRU I was tired and my feet hurt (I should have worn more comfortable shoes). The registering was fun however it was also very overwhelming. For anyone who knows me I can get overwhelmed easily because I play the "what if" game in my head. What if I don't breastfeed and need all kinds of bottles or what if he is picky and only likes a certain bottle or what if he is little bitty and needs preemie clothes or what if we get newborn and preemie clothes and he doesn't fit in them....See the problem.

I use to cry and stress out about packing for vacation and that was just a week. Imagine me planning for my baby and his LIFE. Overall if it overwhelmed me we just skipped it and I will talk to other mommy's or research it later. Sometimes we scanned things even if we may not need them. Kyle did a good job at just keeping me balanced and laughing and it really went okay.

I know I didn't register for enough things so I plan to register at Target and then go back to BRU with Angela to help me get the things I forgot.

The best part of the weekend was when my mom got to feel Cooper kick for the first time and Kyle FINALLY got to see Cooper kick. I have been trying to get Kyle to watch but he is impatient and Cooper is stubborn and it just wasn't happening. Sure enough last night he gave a really good kick that Kyle finally got to see. So exciting! I am more than willing to let people feel Cooper kick but up until now it is still sporadic and unfortunately he doesn't kick on command. Now as he gets bigger it will be easier for people to feel him kick.

I just love this little guy and can't wait for him to be here.

24 Weeks!!

*Sorry, no picture*

How Far Along: 24 weeks! 112 days until the due date! 60%! Can you believe it!!

Size of baby: Cooper is about 14 inches and a close to a 1 1/2 lbs! Compared to an ear of corn. He is developing taste buds and is starting to pack on the weight.

Total Weight Gain/Loss: 13 lbs total!

Maternity Clothes: a mix of maternity and my regular clothes. I am trying to wear my normal clothes as long as I can because I know near the end of my pregnancy I will be wearing the same outfits over and over.

Gender: It's a boy!! Cooper Scott Cline!!!

Movement: I love seeing and feeling Cooper move! It is a nice reassurance throughout the day that he is in there and doing well.

Sleep: I bought a wedge pillow this weekend to see if that is comfortable but last night was my first night and I wasn't such a fan.

What I miss: not sure...

Cravings: Sweets and spicy!! I am already planning on going to Chipotle for lunch. I have been craving it for a while and I know Kyle isn't a fan so I will go get it at lunch today.

Symptoms: Pressure from Cooper sitting low and overall just feeling bigger. When I cough or sneeze my stomach hurts like I have been doing a tons of crunches. It isn't fun.

Best Moment this week: Lots of fun things this week! Picked up the crib and dresser for the nursery(though they are still in the boxes for now). My mom (Cooper's Babi) got to feel Cooper kick on Saturday (23 wks and 5 days). Kyle got to actually see Cooper kick on Sunday (23wks 6 days). Cooper gave a very strong kick just for his daddy!

Hardest Moment this week: Registering at BRU on Sunday. I was already tired before we got there and I wore bad shoes so my feet were killing me. I plan on registering at Target when we get back from our trip and Angela is going to help me go back and register for more things when she gets in town. I felt very overwhelmed when registering and I think it would be great to have help from an experienced mommy.

Other news: We got the big office desk out of the nursery and took it to Ennis and we got the paint samples for the room in the mail. Lowe's couldn't complete part of the order due to it being out of stock and to make up for it are sending me a $20 gift card! Yay!! We will start the painting project when we get back from out trip.

Nursery Furniture for Cooper!!

I wanted to share a picture of the baby furniture we picked out for Cooper. We ordered the dresser that is on the right which will be used for a changing table and then we picked up the crib last night. The crib is still in the box in our garage and as soon as we get the nursery cleared out we will set it up and see how it looks. I can't wait to get started on the nursery when we get back from our trip!

I hope you like it!

Ranch dressing Part 2

Since my original ranch blog I have tried a couple of different ranch dressings.

The first is this spicy ranch- I could eat it if I have to, but if I am trying to eat salads in the evenings with my dinner I don't really want this. If I was eating I would probably just go without ranch than have this.

The second I tried was this Hidden V*lley Southwest Chipotle. I liked this one better than the one above but still I thought it had a vinegar type twang to it. Honestly this one wasn't bad, but I didn't find myself reaching for it to add it to everything like I do other restaurant ranch dressings. Also I realize that ranch isn't that healthy for you so I should add it to everything, but I am ultimately trying to find a ranch to have on salads and home and dip veggies in at work. Dipping pizza, fries, and chicken in it is another benefit ;)

Kyle seems to like this one as he had it with his pizza last night.

*sorry for the small distorted pic but it was the only one I could find.

And last but not least my newest find- I found this by accident in the bagged salad and pre-cut fruit section at Alberts*ns. It is kept cold unlike the other dressings found on the same aisle as pickles, BBQ sauce, and mayo.

I tried it once yesterday with my carrots and I thought it was pretty good. I like the zesty flavor it has. It isn't as good as Sh*dy Oaks jalapeno ranch, but I thought it was pretty good. I had it again with my pizza and liked it. It is a little thick for my liking compared to restaurant ranch but overall I like it. Kyle hasn't tried this one yet.

And that is my review so far
**I was not paid to review any of these products and these are purely based on my own personal experience and opinion.

Weekend Recap

What a busy weekend!

Friday Kyle and I both took a half day. Kyle got started on his project of putting a lift on his truck with the help of Trent and David. I ran some errands and then went to dinner with my sister Melisa, Aunt Neva, and cousin Erica. Erica and Neva were in town looking at TCU so they got to come see our house for the first time and see the puppies. They had never met Riley before and it has been a while since they saw Ranger. The pups loved having visitors. Kyle didn't get done working on the truck until somewhere around 11-midnight. I am not completely sure because I fell asleep on the couch and he woke me up around 12:30 to go to bed.

Saturday I slept in while Kyle got up early to work on the truck again. I ran a lot more errands (seriously I had so many errands to do). Then I drove to Lewisville for my friend Jodi's housewarming party. The traffic sucked and I got lost, but I made it eventually. There house is so cute and I know they have put a lot of work into it already. It was also great to see my friend Oliver and Claire from college because they haven't seen me since being prego. I had a great time visiting with everyone.

Then I drove back to our house to get Kyle since his truck wasn't up and running yet. Once again the traffic was horrible so I got home just in time to take care of the dogs, load the car, and make Kyle jump in. We went back to NRH (which I had already driven past 2 that day) to spend the evening with his family. We had pizza and played games. It was fun hanging out with everyone and seeing Tyler and Ryan for the first time in 2 months.

Sunday I did a lot of stuff around the house, grocery shopped, and made a trip to BRU with Jen to order our nursery furniture. I really needed to go that day because my coupon was about to expire and I wanted to use it on the furniture. Kyle spent the whole day working on his truck again, but did get to take a break and eat dinner with me. Then he met up with a friend to do one final thing to his truck and he was DONE. He didn't get home until 10:40pm!!

Sunday was Riley's birthday so I tried to play with her and dote on her as much as possible. She and Ranger enjoyed extra treats to celebrate and she got to sleep on the bed with mommy and daddy. Best of all for the first time we let her out in the front yard without a leash and she did great. Riley loved going outside to check on her daddy and see how the truck was coming along. She stays where we can see her and comes back if we call her. She is too scared to go far. I love that she can be trusted without a leash. Now I need to work on Ranger being trusted in the front yard to just hangout but I have tried before and it didn't go well.

Kyle got the lift on the truck and I think he is happy with it. It took a lot of work, hours, and help of friends but it is done. I have yet to try to get up into the truck so that should be interesting. I already warned him that if it is too hard we will start driving the neon everywhere. I am excited for Kyle because he has been wanting this lift and he worked hard to get it, but man I really missed him this weekend.

I hope you all had a nice weekend!

23 Weeks!

How Far Along: 23 weeks! 119 days until the due date! 57.5% the way through my pregnancy!
Size of baby: Cooper is about 12 inches and a little over a lb which they compare to the length of a mango.

Total Weight Gain/Loss: 12 lbs total! I don't know what I ate last week but it showed on the scale this week.
Maternity Clothes: Some maternity shirts and some regular shirts. Maternity jeans and regular dress pants. I am going to get my khaki maternity pants hemmed this week. I keep forgetting to take them
Gender: It's a boy!! Cooper Scott Cline!!!

Movement: I love seeing and feeling Cooper move! It is a nice reassurance throughout the day that he is in there and doing well.
Sleep: I have been sleeping well lately though I still move around a lot. I catch myself trying to sleep on my back and it stinks. I know I am not supposed to but boy is it comfortable.
What I miss: I noticed that I am already having to push off a little to get off the couch and it is getting tougher to put my shoes on.
Cravings: I still love sweets! I tried the banana pudding milkshake from Chickfil* this week and I loved it. Plus I ate brownies that I messed up. I also still love spicy food and this week I craved Taco Bell.

Symptoms: Pressure from Cooper sitting low and overall just feeling bigger.
Best Moment this week: This week didn't have much going on but it was good to order Cooper's nursery furniture and get closer to making decisions for his nursery.

Hardest Moment this week: Thinking about Baby C. Worrying about Angela, John, and Annelise. Plus Kyle was very busy this weekend and Cooper and I really missed having him around.
Other news: Yesterday was Riley's second birthday. It was pretty low key because Kyle was busy but I included her in one of my belly shots. Isn't she cute? (ignore the glowing eyes and she looks a little chubby in this picture!)

A lot going on in my head

Just last night I was on the phone with Angela talking about Baby C. We talked about how she has been able to advise other people going through a miscarriage or dealing with someone they know going through one because of what Kyle and I went through. Angela understood the things I did and DID NOT want to hear during that time and has used that to help others. That conversation brought me peace knowing that my situation may have helped someone else.

Also in that conversation we talked about how things would be different right now if Baby C was on its way. One of the things we mentioned was that Angela would probably be here waiting to meet Baby C. 12 hours later I got a phone call from my mom about the massive earthquake in Japan and oh how I wish there were here instead of there.

Angela, John, and Annelise are fine. They have no electricity and unfortunately it is snowing outside so that will make this time harder, but they are OKAY. That is the most important part. Annelise was pretty scared by what happened, but heck I would be scared too. The only updates we have gotten from Ang are from facebook because she is able to connect to the Internet through her kindle which must be working off satellite Internet instead of ground lines. She can not get a phone call out of Japan at this time.

I pray for Angela, John, Annelise, and all of the people both in Japan and around the world that were affected and will be affected by the earthquakes and tsunamis. I also pray for our family (especially my mom) as we still worry and our anxious to get to hear their voices.

I am so glad that they are okay, but I just can't help but think about how ironic our conversation was last night to what happened this morning.

On a good note it is 4 months until Cooper's due date!!!!! Also 3 months until Mackenzie's due date. Man I can't wait for them both to get here, but I have a lot to get done until then!!

Not in the mood...

I am really not in the mood to blog. Yesterday evening I was feeling pretty emotional. Nothing bad happened I just felt 'off.' I feel out of sorts and have a lot on my mind. I assume a lot of it has to do with pregnancy hormones, but I know it is other things too.

Sure enough this morning I am in the same mood. My heart is heavy with the thoughts of our lost baby. This coming Sunday will be Baby C's due date. I have been thinking about the baby all week and imagining what Kyle and I would be going through right now.

Would I be trying to decide if my contractions are really enough to go to the hospital?
Would I be in constant fear that my water will break in a weird place?
Would I already have a baby safe at home due to early arrival?
Would we be in the hospital with family and friends loving on our baby?
Would I be waddling around miserable with no sign of labor?
Would we be panicking about having everything ready?
Would my parents make it in time from Ennis for the birth?
Would our baby be a boy or girl?
Would the baby have a full head of black hair like it's mommy?
Would the baby be as perfect as I imagined?

I think about Baby C all of the time. I try not to get lost in the 'what ifs.' I try not to get lost in the dream of what that baby would have been like. But at the same time I still miss Baby C. I know that we wouldn't be expecting our sweet Cooper if things had not happened the way they did. But that baby is not the same as Cooper. Cooper is not a replacement for our loss.

I feel so blessed that we were able to get pregnant again and we are expecting our sweet baby Cooper, but today I am grieving for the baby we will never meet.

Sorry to be a downer today, but I am just sharing what I am going through.

Weekend Recap

We had a nice weekend, but boy am I tired. I am still trying to recover.

Friday after work I met my sister Melisa at a local consignment sale and found a couple of things for our little ones. We also got some good laughs and some of the outfits! Then Kyle and I met up with his parents to take their garage sale stuff to David and Jen's house. After dropping the stuff off Kyle and I went to pick up burritos from a new burrito place for us and my mom. I have mixed reviews on the burritos. I like Chipotle better but we don't have one close to us so we may give that place another shot.

My mom and I hung out playing words with friends and word warp on my itouch and talking. Melisa and Trent stopped by for a little while to drop off some things and visit also. Once it was time for bed we decided to let Riley and Ranger sleep with Babi in the guest room. They both did good and I think Babi enjoyed it.

Saturday morning we got up bright and early for our garage sale at David and Jen's. We had a ton of business and did really well. After the garage sale we grabbed lunch and relaxed on the couch for a little while. I even snuck in a 45 minute nap.

Then it was time to head to a kids consignment sale in Plano with my mom. We found some great finds. A couple of cute camo things, two cute dress shirts, and a couple pairs of shoes for Cooper. Plus my mom found some really cute dresses for Annelise and Mackenzie.

Once again we got up early Sunday morning for day two of the garage sale. Unfortunately we didn't have a whole lot of business but the weather was nicer and we enjoyed the day. We sat in the lawn chairs talking and enjoying the sun. Too bad I didn't think of sunscreen because boy my face was red that night and is slowly fading now. We enjoyed lunch made by David and then packed away the leftover stuff.

Kyle and I went to his parents to drop some stuff off and visit for a little while. We didn't stay long because we were both tired and had a lot to do at home. We got home and started laundry and knew there was no way we were going to cook. We decided to eat and chili's because I was craving dessert. Earlier in the day we kept hearing the ice cream man driving around but he would never come down their street. We (mostly me) were so disappointed and couldn't stop thinking about ice cream. Kyle and I shared the molten choc cake at chili's and it was delicious!!

We got home and climbed in bed and made it an early night.

We look forward to next weekend being more low key (I think) and game night with Kyle's side of the family since Tyler and Ryan will be home for spring break.

**I am so excited because a woman I know that has been trying to get pregnant for 8 months just found out she is prego and a woman who lost her baby that was just a few days old 9 months ago just announced her pregnancy as well. So many women struggle to get pregnant and become a mommy so I love hearing success stories. God's little miracles!!**

22 Weeks!

I am only 21 wks and 3 days here but I wanted to share the pictures of my favorite shirt that I got with Susan. Try to ignore my hunched up shoulders and the wrinkles in the shirt. I didn't ask Kyle to take the picture until I got home from work that day so it was a long day.

How Far Along: 22 weeks! 126 days until the due date! 55% the way through my pregnancy!

Size of baby: Cooper is 11 inches which they compare to the length of a spaghetti squash. Cooper now weighs about 1 lb!! That is about 4 ounces more than last week and I totally believe it. I feel bigger and more pressure now so I can't imagine what it will be like when he is 6 lbs+

Total Weight Gain/Loss: 9 lbs total! 1 lb since last week.

Maternity Clothes: I wore several of my new maternity shirts last week and I still love my maternity jeans!

Gender: It's a boy!! Cooper Scott Cline!!!

Movement: As I mentioned last week in my blog at 21 weeks and 2 days I saw Cooper kick from the outside. Since then I have seen him kick many time however I am the only one. Cooper already seems to be stubborn, like his Daddy I am sure : ) and will stop kicking if someone else tries to see.

Sleep: Some restless nights but whatever. I am getting used to it and know that it will only get worse.

What I miss: Sleeping on my stomach and not waking up to pee every night.

Cravings: SWEETS. I love sweets!! Brownies, cookies, ice cream! I will take it all!!

Symptoms: As I said before I am feeling pressure from Cooper more. There are time that he is sitting pretty low and I am uncomfortable. It usually doesn't last long but sometimes it can hurt quite a bit. I have also been feeling "growing pains" or round ligament pains and my body stretches to make room for Cooper. It is getting a little harder to get into our tall bed at night and Kyle's truck, but it isn't a big deal yet. Later I might have to try using the dogs little pet stairs but I don't think they could hold my weight!

Best Moment this week: Seeing Cooper kick was AMAZING. I have to admit it happened at work and I got teary-eyed and so excited! I love when he kicks me in the mornings and I get to tell him good morning and that I love him. Kyle also tells him 'bye' every morning before he leaves for work. I also like feeling the strong kicks now and knowing that it is for sure Cooper. I enjoy talking to him. Man I can't wait for this little guy to get here!!!

The other great thing was my mom visiting this weekend. I love spending time with her and we found some really cute things for Cooper that I will talk about later this week!

Hardest Moment this week: probably just getting used to my body changing and Cooper getting bigger. I love my pregnant belly but the growing pains aren't so fun. I try not to think about it because #1 I will probably look back and laugh at how easy it is now compared to 37 weeks! #2 It is going to be so completely worth it when we get to hold our Cooper Scott!!
Other news: I am still working on my ideas for the nursery, but I am starting to narrow it down. After our consignment sale shopping and not finding any furniture we have officially decided to order our furniture set from BRU. I am not sure when we will order it yet. I don't want to order it too soon because then we just have to keep it somewhere until we paint, but I also don't want to wait too long.
I have also noticed that I keep putting things off until April- Registry, painting nursery, ordering nursery furniture, touring day-care centers, baptism planning, finding a pediatrician. I think I will schedule at least one day-care tour for the next week or so and also talk to our church about Baptism.

100th Post!!!

Today is my 100th blog post!! In some ways I can't believe I already hit 100 but in other ways I am not surprised. Seriously I love to talk and this way everyone can remember what I say FOREVER : )

I love my blog but I also love reading other people's blogs. Some of them are for prayers and healing of their loved ones and others are just family journals much like mine. People I have never met have started reading my blog and getting to know me so I have decided to do an "about me" blog.

**warning this may be long because I am long winded**

*******************************

I am 26 years old and live in Fort Worth with my husband Kyle. I am originally from a small town about an hour and a half from where we currently live, but I came to Fort Worth to attend TCU. I was an Accounting and Finance major at TCU and then got my Masters of Accounting. I started to sit for my CPA exam, but put that on hold to start our family. I love being a Horned Frog and would love to have a child attend TCU one day. Though they better be smart and get scholarships because I can't imagine how much it will cost 18 years from now!!

Kyle is from a city not far from TCU, but we didn't meet at TCU. We met on myspace. Yes you heard right, myspace. Kyle and I had both recently joined and he was looking for friends (girls!) and he came across my profile. I decided on a whim to start talking to him and after about 2 weeks we went on our first date. As soon as I saw him I thought he was cuter than his picture and I LOVE his pickup truck!! We had a wonderful date that I didn't want to end. When I spoke to my sister that night on the phone I said "I will be perfectly happy if that is the last first date I go on" and it was. I knew very early on that Kyle was the one for me and I told him that. 4 months after dating in November 2006 we were engaged. We were married September 22, 2007.

We have two adorable dogs Ranger and Riley. Ranger is a Pomeranian that I bought in November 2005 before I knew Kyle. Ironically his birthday is September 22, 2005 just 2 years before my wedding day. Ranger was my first love and 2 years later I married the love of my life. I love that our anniversary is on Ranger's birthday though many people think it is really funny. I didn't do it on purpose!

In May 2009 we rescued our adorable Riley Rue. She is a very sweet Pomeranian/chihuahua mix. She likes a lot of attention and could play for hours if we let her. She is the typical pesky little sister to Ranger, but she is oh so sweet.

We love our dogs so much and if it was up to Kyle I think we would have a house full.

Our newest addition (that you have heard so much about) will be here around July 11, 2011. After trying to conceive for 10 months and 1 miscarriage we conceived Cooper Scott. We can't wait for our little guy to get here despite the fact that we have a lot to do before he gets here!!

Our families-

My parents still live in my home town where my mom is a teacher and my dad works for our church. My dad was a rancher when I was growing up and he still has cows and land that Kyle loves to work on. Kyle is a country boy at heart and loves spending time in my hometown getting dirty and working hard. I am very close with my parents and love them so much.

I am the middle child of 3 girls. I have an older sister Angela who currently lives overseas with her husband that is in the Air Force and her daughter Annelise. Annelise is 2 and is my only niece (for now). We love them and miss them so much. I can't wait for them to come back in a year or two.

Melisa is my younger sister who lives in the Fort Worth area and also went to TCU! She is married to Trent and they are expecting their first child and my second niece June 11, 2011 (if you do the math we are due exactly one month apart!). I can't wait to meet Mackenzie!!

Kyle's parents live about 20 minutes from us and it is great. His mother works for a bank and his dad works for the same company Kyle does. It is a large company so they don't work closely together, but they still get to see each other some. Kyle's family is very close with his grandparents and aunt's family living close by. They all go out to dinner almost every Saturday night and I love the tradition. We try to go as often as we can and I can't wait to start asking for a highchair at dinners! Cooper will be the first baby on that side of the family in 19 years!

Kyle is the oldest of 3 boys. Kevin recently got married to Jenni. They also live in the Fort Worth area.

Kyle's youngest brother Tyler is attending A&M right now. Tyler can't wait to be an uncle and we are excited he will be home this summer when Cooper arrives.

I hope this helps give a good summary of me, my life, and my family. I am sure I could think of a lot more things but for now I will stop there. I think this blog is long enough.

Have a wonderful weekend.

Cooper is SOO active!!

I know I already posted today, but I wanted to another quick post to document what is going on in my pregnancy.

Yesterday for the first time I SAW Cooper kick. Cooper is very active after my lunch every day at work. So after a couple of kicks in the same area I smoothed my shirt out and watched my belly. Sure enough I saw a quick kick and my shirt move! It was awesome. For some reason I felt sappy and got tears in my eyes. It just makes it feel that much more real!

I immediately texted Kyle. I seriously can't wait for him to see.

Today after lunch the same thing started. Several kicks so I started watching. (yes I do work, but seeing this is important!!) Sure enough a quick kick. Then I saw him do 2 quick kicks back to back. It is seriously awesome. I guess he was enjoying my lunch!!

I am hoping that Cooper will be nice and active this weekend when Kyle and I have some time so he can feel Cooper more and see him kick.

I already love this little guy so much. I can't wait for him to get here (but I do want him to wait until a good healthy time for him to come!).

Pregnancy Brain

For those of you who haven't heard of this- pregnancy brain is what they say pregnant women have when they start forgetting things, or do things wrong while prego, or just weird stuff.

Some say pregnancy brain goes away after being pregnant but many women then fall victim to mommy brain.

Here are some signs of me getting pregnancy brain-

Twice I have started a load of laundry in the washer to go back and realize that the washer stopped because I never closed the lid.

Last week I got some ice cream. This is the ice cream that I specifically bought for the gender reveal party. What's that you say, you don't remember having ice cream at the party? That is because I forgot to pull it out!! I don't know how I forgot about the ice cream since the whole week before Kyle kept wanting to eat it and I kept reminding him it was for the party.

Back to last week- After scooping out my ice cream I asked Kyle if he wanted any and he said no. So I put the ice cream away and enjoyed my bowl while watching America's Next Top Model. An hour or so later Kyle said something about me eating all of the ice cream and I said no I put it back. Well he then found the ice cream in the refrigerator instead of the freezer!! OOPS!

I blame it on pregnancy brain!

Cooper Bear

A while back Kyle's grandmother came across a character at H*llmark called Cooper. He is a cute bear that has corresponding books with him. He evens interacts with you if you read the books out loud. This is the best pic I could find-

*courtesy of hallmark.com

I thought the bear was very cute and Kyle's side of the family decided right away that this would be perfect if we were having our own Cooper. Then Kyle's Nana mentioned that there was a "life-size" bear that was about 3 feet tall. Kyle's mom Susan heard this and it was a must have. Her grandson Cooper would have a giant Cooper bear for his nursery.

She has reminded us often since then that if we are having a boy that we would also get a giant Cooper bear. Sure enough after the gender reveal Susan said "I am going to buy Cooper bear tomorrow" and that is exactly what she did.

Last week I got a sweet email from Cooper bear that I want to share with you and document for memory sake.

Hi, this is Cooper Bear. I am enjoying my visit with Mimi and Grandpa, but really look forward to coming to live in little Cooper’s nursery. We will be bestest buddies!!

See ya Saturday!

Cooper Bear

Here is a pic of Cooper Bear at Mimi and Grandpa's house!

Wow he really is big isn't he!! Hopefully Cooper will like carrying the little bear around instead of the big bear! He will look great in the nursery and I am sure our Cooper will just love him!! I know it will be cool for Cooper to grow up reading books with his name and his bear in the books. I wonder what Riley and Ranger will think of Cooper Bear!!

Thank you Mimi and Grandpa for Cooper Bear!

Weekend Recap

I had a nice weekend, but unfortunately Kyle and I didn't see each other as much as usual.

Friday night we picked up Whataburger for dinner and enjoyed a night at home.

Saturday Kyle got up early and went to work overtime. I slept in a little and then met Susan to go shopping. We went to BRU and looked at the nursery furniture I like and then found some maternity clothes and winter clothes on sale for Cooper. Afterwards Susan and I hit the mall and spent about an hour at the maternity store there. I found a lot of great things both for work, vacation, and the weekends.

We also found an adorable cow onesie that we just had to have- The front says Here's a moo, there's a moo, every where's a moo moo. The back has a little cows tail on the butt. I don't think it looks anything like Cooper's Daddy's real cow, but I can't wait to see him in this!

After the maternity store we enjoyed subway and then left the mall. We checked out a couple of other stores and then went to an unfinished furniture store. We were able to find a bookcase for the nursery and a small table to put next to the glider. Now I just have to decide how I want to finish the pieces and what color. I think I am going to take Kyle to the store after work this week to see what he thinks.

Thank you to my awesome MIL for taking me shopping for maternity clothes and for the treats she got Cooper. I feel so lucky to have such great in-laws and the fact that we enjoy each others company so much. (or at least I really enjoy her company, after that day she may have had her fill of me!)

After a fun day of shopping we met the rest of Kyle's side of the family for dinner at Sh*dy Oak and then got to checkout Tiffany's new apartment. It is absolutely adorable. The design and setup of the apartment and also all of the decorating they have already done. Then some of us went back to Kyle's parents to help hang a mirror and visit. And last but not least we brought Cooper bear home with us! Tomorrow's blog will be all about Cooper the Bear.

Sunday I did laundry and errands while Kyle worked overtime once again. Kyle has been working overtime a lot lately to save for some things that he wants, but I think he is about done with overtime for a little while so that is good.

This coming weekend should be a fun weekend. I just found out this morning that my mom is going to come spend the weekend with Kyle and I! I can't wait to tell Ranger and Riley that their Babi is coming. They love Babi because she throws toys and plays with them so much.

And as I promised, here is a 21 week picture with one of my new maternity shirts on.

21 Weeks

And just for comparison

17 weeks

14 weeks

I can't believe how much bigger I am in just 4 weeks and compared to 7 weeks ago!
