Favorites from the week

Monday morning this is how I found Casen.  He wants to wear shoes to bed every night!

I saw these at Target. I didn't buy them but kinda wish I had.

Tuesday swim lessons didn't go well

Don't let this picture fool you.

These two love being with me :) Tinsley smiles with her eyes.  Tyra Banks would love her smize.

There was a lot of crying on Tuesday which I expected.

Sweet Mac tried to show them how to go under....it didn't work

Wednesday went better and he did some floating

These two enjoyed a little Shake It Off dance party. I wish I could video it.

And we all went to Melisa's to eat, swim, and see Babi and Grandaddy now that they are home from Germany!

I got in the pool and hoped to help Cooper become more comfortable.  He had a great time and so did I.  But I really need to a tan!

Mac swam to me also. Tins just loved to float around.

Casen didn't love the float but didn't mind us holding him in the water.  He had no problem just playing outside the pool.

Though he did jump to us some and was SOO cute.  I have some videos I need to share.

July 1st I am starting this challenge along with a lot of friends through facebook. Any of my blog readers want to join?

Thursday's pic before swim lessons.  In case you were wondering, yes the boys are wearing the same swim trunk. Melisa washes them at her house each day instead of us messing with wet suits every day and remembering to send them.

They were excited but then found ants!

This morning we stopped for donuts and had time to eat inside.  This was Cooper's surprise treat for a great week at swim lessons.

They are dressed for splash day at school

I just love taking selfies with my boys.

I am so glad today is Friday.  It has been a long week and we don't have much planned for this weekend.

I hope you all have a great weekend!

Weekend Recap

My sister Melisa arranged with Kyle to keep our boys so we could go see the Josh Abbott Band at Lone Star Park.  He invited our BFFs to join us and we made a night of it.  We got there at 7:30ish and grabbed a drink before we hung out.

The drink was yummy and the company was even better

Unfortunately the concert didn't start until after the last race...the last race was over at 11pm!!! Ummm what?? We didn't know that ahead of time. That's okay we spent a lot of time people watching and feeling very old.  Because of the band and it being summer the crowd was very young.  Short cutoff jean shorts, cowboy boots, and lots of cleavage! Honestly they looked super cute.  They just made me feel super old too :)

We just love these two.  I am so thankful for their friendship.

It was so crowded during the concert and since it was open lawn it was chaotic.  And I am so short so it was hard to see.  We ended up finally going to an open area and watching from a distance and the giant screen.

We loved watching the drunk people stumble around and even one poor guy throw up.  Then we played with a hair clip to see if people would step on it and then we watched a bug scurry through the crowd and finally meet its destiny. We couldn't stop laughing...but you had to be there.  We compared it to this episode of The Office We were not intoxicated so I have no clue why it was so funny, but it was.  And at least our friend get us.

We didn't get home until 2 in the morning after a stop at both Whataburger and Jack in the Box.  At Whataburger we ordered the Root Beer Shake and it was yummy.

Saturday mid-day we headed to Fort Worth to get the boys' hair cut by Aunt Jen Jen.  We got to see them two day in a row! This was Casen's first time to have his haircut by the clippers instead of scissors.  He did awesome!

Then we went to Mimi and Grandpa's to play. And then headed to La Hacienda Ranch for dinner.  We love this place!  Though Casen was a very busy body.

But they got to ride the horses after.

And they have a new one with a chariot that they thought was super cool

Then Grandpa suggested a stop at the park and we just couldn't resist.  This boy loves this swing thing.

And Grandpa and Cooper decided to check the weight limit

These swings are so funny to me because they remind me of the seat from the Batman ride at Six Flags. Adults can fit in them also.

I received this gorgeous picture of my nieces.  Catelyn is wearing the flower girl dress that Annelise wore in Melisa's wedding.  I just love it and love these girls.  Aren't they gorgeous!  I really miss them.

Sunday morning we went to church and the boys weren't horrible but they were exhausting.  Those around us were very sweet and understanding.  And a nice woman complimented me on how well they did and how I did.  I really appreciate those comments.  I hope I remember to do the same.

That was the only picture I took on Sunday.  And now I can't remember what else we did.  Oh now I remember I took a nap when they did!! That is all.

Swim lessons day 1

I promise not to do a post each day for 8 days, but day 1 deserves a recap.

I signed (actually Melisa did) Cooper up for swim lessons with MacKenzie and their friend Vincent.  Since Melisa is off for the summer she offered to take the bigs to swim lessons each day for us. Chelsey and I happily accepted.  This is Cooper's first time with swim lessons so I wasn't sure what to expect.

The night before I tried to get him excited and he said 'I don't want to swim, I just want to float.' Then he told me he needed a surf board and I told him he had to learn to swim before he could have a surf board.

Melisa did a great job at taking pictures and giving Chelsey and I the play-by-play.

Cooper and Vincent were both shy and avoiding the water.  Cooper said ahead of time that he did not want to go under water.

When I asked Cooper how swim lessons went he said 'I was just shy.' Mac talked for the boys since they wouldn't talk. Typical girl in our family :)

The teacher pulled Cooper out into the water and those he whined at first he got over it.

Mac has had swim lessons before so she did some swimming away from the beginniners. Cooper wanted to swim to Mac Mac :)

So he did some kicking!

And then if they all blew bubbles in the water they could go to the hot tub at the end of class.  Cooper called it the hot spot.

They didn't grasp that swim lessons was more than one day and thought they were all done with them.  But this morning Cooper agreed to let Aunt Lusa take him back.  I am excited to see how day 2 goes.

Friday Favorites

This week has been rough, but yesterday when I got home with the boys we spent some time outside.  We loaded up a box into the gator and delivered it to our neighbors.  The house numbers in our neighborhood are weird and we get a lot of wrong mail and packages, but oh well.  Then we stopped to visit their school friend Cassie that lives diagonally from us.  This was the first time we visited so she was shy but it was a nice little visit.

Then we decided to play a little baseball and soccer, but not before some selfies :)

Man I love these boys!

Do we look alike?

I made burritos for dinner and scarfed one down before heading to get my sister.  Kyle agreed to watch the boys while she went with me swimsuit shopping.  I haven't bought a swimsuit since right after I had Cooper so it is too big now that I am no longer post-partum and nursing!

We decided to go to Target and I found two tops and one set of bottoms which you will not see pictures of because home girl needs a tan! But good news is that I have a sister with a pool :) I am so thankful that Melisa went with me because I knew she would give me her honest opinion.

Her thank you was Flamin Hot Fries and we shared a coke (I got Flamin Hot Funyuns but saved them for today).  The coke had the name Harley and we both thought of George Strait's movie Pure Country.  We love that movie and it's bad acting!

Then I got home and got in bed to watch the rest of the TCU Baseball game.  They beat LSU and play Vanderbilt tonight! While watching the game I checked Facebook and came across this tidbit of news.  I really hope that this is true and Ennis is getting a Chipotle!! I LOVE Chipotle. We have one in Mansfield but it would still be nice to have one in Ennis too.

This morning the boys and I were super early and got to day-care 2 minutes before they opened.  We had a Shake It Off dance party.  Cooper was too busy singing to smile, but Casen was all smiles with his chocolate face.  Mommy shouldn't have given him a cookie for breakfast because he then got chocolate on my white pants inside day-care.  And it is right by the crotch!

I love that cheesy smile.

I hope today is a good day that goes by fast.  Not sure if I will workout during lunch or walk around downtown.  Loft might be having a sale and I REALLY need new dress pants.  All of mine are too big thanks to losing 5 pounds! Yep! In two months of working out I have lost five pounds and it is awesome! Now I need new clothes :)

I hope everyone has a great Friday and wonderful weekend.

And GO FROGS!!!
