Momma!!!

This beautiful and amazing little boy said "momma" yesterday!

When he first said it I thought it might be a fluke but shortly after he did it again.  Then if I said it he would repeat after me.  We played on the floor and then he reached over for me and said it again!!!

I rushed out to the garage to tell Kyle, but he gave me a hard time saying he didn't believe me.  And of course Cooper wouldn't do it because he was too busy watching Daddy.

But sure enough Cooper continued to say it throughout the evening and Daddy couldn't deny it!

I then tried to get him to say 'dadda' with no luck.  In fact one time I said "say dadda" and he said "momma!"  Kyle didn't think it was very funny but I was beaming!!

I love hearing that word from Cooper's mouth!  I love being his momma!!

Cooper loves to kick his feet.  He always has.  Here I caught him in the act!

Cooper and Daddy watching tv!

I love my boys so much!!

Easter Baskets

I am starting to think about an Easter basket for Cooper and would love your opinion!

For some kids they use different baskets each year or maybe a new one after a couple of years.  There is no emotional attachment to them.  However I used the same Easter basket every year and there is some sentimental value to it now.

I am trying to decide what to do for Cooper.

These are the things I am considering:
  • Size- if too big for when he is little or if too small won't want to carry it later
  • Age Appropriate- if to childish looking he won't want to use when he gets older
  • Stylish- some of the ones below may only be cute for one year and then not 'cool' anymore
  • Color- a color that he would want to carry as he gets older.
  • Gender- not to feminine
  • More kids- I like the idea of having coordinating ones for all of my kids but obviously I only have one for now and am unsure if what I get for Cooper will still be available then.
I know many of you are thinking "WOW! Seriously you are putting way too much thought into this!"  And you know what?  I probably am, but this is me and you shouldn't be surprised!

These are pics I have taken over the past couple of weeks that I thought I would share with you!  Some of them I have already decided against, but thought some others might appreciate me sharing them.  Plus I would love your opinion on which one you think is best!

This is a metal pale from Hobby Lobby however you can order personalized ones off of Etsy similar to Cooper's Halloween bucket here.  I don't think it is traditional enough for me.

Plush Easter baskets. Eh.

These remind me more of Halloween buckets, but thought the cowboy option was cute.

I like this green basket with white liner.  They also have two different size options.

More of the plush options at Hobby Lobby

I love this little blue basket but it is small so Cooper will probably only like it the first year or two when he doesn't know any better.

These are more traditional and boring! Ha!

These are all from Etsy pages....

I like the ides that these are easier to store than hard baskets!

These are cute but a little feminine looking to me.  Even in the blue and green.

I like this but not sure how Cooper would feel as he gets older.

I like these!  Somehow the brown basket makes it a little more masculine.

I like these colored baskets and like the idea of it personalized like the second picture but would probably pick a different fabric.

Then if Cooper gets older and doesn't like the fabric liner it can always be removed.

Ok!  Now that I have given way too many options and really over analyzed this whole thing....
What do you think?

Thursday Thoughts

Yesterday I couldn't write in the body of my post. After research this morning other people were having the same issue. I found a temporary solution until they get it fixed.

1. Tuesday when I got home I had an envelope with this cute package in it!

This is the key chain I ordered last week. The red stone is Cooper's, the light blue is for Baby C, and the dark blue is for Kyle. I love it!!

2. Yesterday we took Cooper on his first wagon ride and he loved it. He just say and looked around at everything. I hope we can get one in today before it gets to cold.

3. I am organizing a playgroup and am so excited!
A lot of stay at home moms go to play groups but they are during the week. We are going to try to meet one Saturday a month. Right now we are going to stick to children about Cooper's age and see how it goes from there. I am considering inviting two people from my neighborhood, but am kinda scared!

We hope to meet for the first time on March 24th! Can't wait!

This is when Cooper was first out of the house in the wagon!

4. I am soooo ready for baseball season! I seriously can't wait to watch it on tv and take Cooper to the games!! Only about a month and half!

5. For Lent I have decided to give up all drinks except water! It is going to be very tough because I enjoy sodas and LOVE sweet tea, but that is what this is all about.

6. These two boys are the loves of my life! I can't imagine life without them!

7. A blog I read recently had a great idea that I thought I would share. When she goes places with large crowds she puts her business cards in her kids pockets in case he gets lost. I love this idea. I have also heard of people having "mommy cards" not sure if those are meant for this also.

I don't have business cards but I plan to do something similar once Cooper is walking. How simple to write your info on pieces of paper and slip them in your kids pockets. You could even print a whole bunch off of the computer and have them pre-cut in a ziploc to use as needed. Keep them in your purse or the diaper bag.

I believe some people also put sticky labels on their kids shirt that says "if I am lost...." or there might be other cool things like bracelets for kids. Not sure...if not maybe I should invent them!

8. Absolutely loving his wagon ride!!!

9. I snapped this pic of him this morning as I sang "I'm to sexy for my shirt." Maybe not age appropriate but I got a laugh for it!

P.S. Cooper's friend Aiden was wearing the EXACT same socks to day-care today. I know it sounds silly but Cooper has like 25 pairs and what are the chances this would happen!

Happy Thursday!

Weekend Recap!

We had a wonderful weekend and I actually took a lot of pictures so be prepared for picture overload.  Though I am told that most people would rather see pics than read my long detailed play-by-play of our weekends anyway!

This is Cooper waiting on his Babi to arrive Friday evening!

Babi with her Cline grand baby and grand dogs!

So happy to see his Babi!!

She deserved a hug and kiss for driving an hour and a half to spend the night!

My mom stayed the night and Kyle and I went to our favorite Mexican restaurant for dinner.  We had planned to see One for the Money but it left the theater the day before! Darn!

Saturday morning Cooper woke up and after Babi brushed her teeth we brushed Cooper's teeth gums with spiffies.

This was his first time and he did great with it!

My mom took Cooper to Ennis and after Kyle and I headed to the grocery store I went to work for a couple of hours.

Cooper and Babi had a pit stop at the Rhodes' house to have a bottle and play!

He loved seeing his cousins and playing with new toys!

I got to Ennis around 3 and it was a gross rainy day.  Grandaddy got a call to buy wild (feral) hogs so we decided to pile in the truck and tag along.

It was so cold and rainy (not to mention stinky) that this is the closest we got to the hogs!

Cooper took advantage of the car ride to squeeze in a nap (the blanket made him look yellow)

Cooper helped mommy read her magazine.  He loves the sound of the pages crinkling.

He also was glued to watching the Stars play hockey.

Grandaddy loves hockey, but this momma is really hoping that Cooper doesn't have any desire to play hockey. His face is too cute for hockey!

He loved playing with Grandaddy!

Sunday was a busy day of church, visiting Cooper's Great-Grandad.  We also met my cousin Mary's new little girl Adelynn.

Cooper didn't know what to think at first but then he kinda patted her.

And then laid next to her which was perfect for a picture!

Then he noticed her pacifier.

After that we saw the Rhodes and Vrana kids before heading over to Granny's house.

I remembered to snap a picture of Cooper and his Grandaddy in their matching shirts.  Cooper's actually has stripes but they pretty much looked likes twinkies!

I got to play canasta and hangout with family.  I finally headed home about 5:00.  I really didn't want to drive home.  I would have rather stayed and play games.  However once we got home we were sure happy to see daddy- too bad I didn't get a picture!

It was another great weekend!
