This past weekend was pretty relaxed and uneventful. We pretty much hung around the house. Kyle worked on the brakes for the Jeep quite a bit and I think he is making progress. I have learned that the Jeep is Kyle's outlet for stress. He cusses up a storm when working on it and at first I told him not to but I then realized it is just what he does. Jeep=cussing so beware.
My parents are in Japan visiting Angela, John and Annelise for a week which includes Thanksgiving and Annelise's first birthday. They are having a great time. My dad is having to learn to be more open to new foods (some he likes and some he doesn't) and they are enjoying seeing all the sites. It sounds like Angela is a good tour guide.
I got to get on web cam with them on Saturday night which was Sunday morning before church for them. Annelise is now walking so it was adorable to see her walk around. Though she loved to walk back and forth between my parents, she also seemed perfectly content letting them hold her (which of course they would do all day everyday if they could). You can tell that she just absolutely adores her Grandaddy and Babi.
The BEST part was when I was talking to Annelise and I said " Hi, Annelise, I miss you, I love you." She the said "I love you" to me. TWICE. It was the sweetest thing. I couldn't help but get teary eyed. Though I know she was just mimicking me it still meant the world to me. After that she gave us (Kyle came in and talked with me) kisses. Then my mom noticed that she would lean toward the monitor and specifically give Kyle kisses. I think she did it 2 or 3 times. I don't think Kyle really knew how to react to it, but we all thought it was adorable. She loves her Uncle Kyle!!
Ranger has been sick this week. We decided to take him to the vet on Monday night when he didn't seem to want to eat. They don't know exactly what is wrong with him but instead of running expensive tests we decided to give him some medicine and see if that helped. It has helped and he seems to be doing fine now.
Even though Ranger is sick Riley shows no mercy. Riley can be a bully to Ranger and Ranger just takes it. He loves to sit in the middle of the yard and just smell around. Riley will be on the other side of the yard and charge and him and just smack into his head/neck. He just looks at her and walks away. He is such a good big brother.
We finally got gutters on our house. We have been meaning to do it for almost a year now. I got estimates back in July and we even picked who we wanted to go with but we ( I mean "I" because Kyle doesn't like to call and take care of these kind of things) never got around to scheduling it. Last week I finally decided I would call and schedule for them to come out. Who would have guessed that when we got home that day Kyle saw and 10% off coupon on our door from that exact gutter company that we planned to use!! So I decided that it was a sign to call the company and have them taken care of. I hated to spend the money this time of year but the 10% off coupon made the decision a lot easier. So the gutters were installed today and they look great. I am glad I can check that off of my to-do list from nearly 6 months ago!!
One more day of work this week then it is a 4 day weekend. I wish I could say that I will enjoy my time off but my down time will be spent preparing for another exam. I am so over being a CPA.....

Worst Lunch Break Ever!!
I decided to run to the post office and grab a sandwich during my lunch break. It should take 30 minutes tops.
After finally mailing Jodi's surprise to her I sat at the light on University to turn on to 7th street for 17 minutes and I was only the 4th car. No exaggeration. For those who know that is a horrible intersection and I finally made it through after 8 complete cycles in which my lane only got to go twice.
So I ran into a sandwich shop that I had never tried before and felt so rushed to order that I only got half of the toppings I wanted because I didn't exactly know what I was ordering. By the time I got to my car my patience were running thin.
So when I got to the next light I refused to sit there forever so I was the last one to go through the light when it was orangish (yellow the turned red). I turned onto a two lane road and took the outside lane in order to get through the light quicker. As soon an I completed my turn a motorcycle cop u-turned and turned on it lights behind me. I was trying to find somewhere to pullover but apparently not fast enough because he even ran his siren thing.
I pulled over into a parking lot and as soon as he got off his bike my eyes started to tear. I was so frustrated. I handed him my license and insurance and he asked where I was headed. He saw my sandwich and said something about them being good and I said I had never tried it before and almost didn't thanks to a horrific experience at the previous intersection. Midway through my sentence he says "do you have another insurance" and I said "oh is that last years" and he said "no this one expired last month." I started to cry, all kinds of tears rolling down my face. As soon as he said that I knew I didn't have a newer one. I know I paid for my insurance but I don't remember recently getting a new insurance card. I told him that I am sorry but I don't have it with me though I am insured.
He went to his bike and came back making a joke about my cool license plate (the state sent me new ones that are SPY205). He tells me not to cry I can take care of it near downtown where I work but I still can't stop crying. He explains my ticket and I realize I have no clue why I got pulled over (maybe for running an orange light but from his view he couldn't tell I had done that). I said "Im sorry but why am I getting the ticket again." He said "you made an illegal turn from a non-turn lane" I had not done that however because I rushed through the light and pulled next to the other car I can see how he kinda thought that (if I wasn't really paying attention). I said " I am sorry officer but I did not do that. I promise that I was behind that green car and pulled around him as I went through the light. That maybe illegal (not sure) but I did not turn from the wrong lane" Then I caught myself sounding like the typical person trying to get out a ticket and I stopped, I said "That is fine sir, thank you." He looked at me and said "no let me have that back but you need to take care of your insurance. Enjoy your lunch" I am sure I was the first person to openly accept a ticket for something they hadn't done. I was just too defeated to argue. And he pulled away.
I did not get a ticket but I still cried the whole way back to work.
What was a 30 minutes turned into me being gone for 1 hour and 10 minutes. And the sandwich wasn't very good. I am now completely exhausted and just want to crawl in bed for a nap.

So much to do, so little time
I am so stressed, but don't let that alarm you because I am almost always stressed. In a weird twisted way, I thrive on stress.
I have a neverending to-do list that doesn't get any shorter. I love making to-do lists and I especially love post-its. I keep post-its and a pen in my purse because I tend to think of a million things to do or remember in the car to and from work.
To-do lists can be very helpful but I tend to add more things to the list than I scratch off. I also tend to always take care of the little ones and push off the major ones (like calling about getting gutters on our house).
I am a spider solitaire addict. I could sit and play for hours. In addition to that I have become addicted to Farmville. The combination of those two things occupy several hours each evening when I should be studying. I didn't struggle like this when studying for Audit but I am absolutely avoiding my Reg studying. Now it is time to hit the books and make the most of my next two weeks. So no more spider solitaire until after the exam.
I am also not allowing myself to decorate for Christmad until after exam. I really want to decorate but I must keep my priorities straight!
With so much on my plate I have to become more effecient and less lazy.
(stressful rambling !!!)

Enough is Enough!!
I am officially watching what I eat. I went shopping this weekend and it wasn't good. The scale doesn't show much weight gain(though some) however I can feel it in my clothes. They are just fitting tighter all over.
I am not going to do a strict regimen because I never last because I enjoy food to much. The hardest thing will be cutting out sweets including sodas. I love something sweet after every meal. And it has really gotten out of hand lately which is my fault because I do the grocery shopping.
So here are my new rules/goals-

So here are my new rules/goals-
- Only 1 sweet per week and sodas count as a sweet
- 30 minutes of workout 4 times a week- this doesn't sound like much but with my heavy study schedule that is all I can squeeze, hopefully more on the weekends. Plus the dogs would love to go on walks in this nice weather.
- 4 cups of water at work each day plus 2 more in the evenings.
- 1 glass of milk each evening
- Walk the stairs 5 times a day at work (7, 10, 12, 2, 4)
- Nothing but water after 8 pm each night.
I think 6 goals is all I can handle for now. Wish me luck!!

Busy Busy
Kyle and I had a really nice time in Florida with my family. It was great to see Angela and John and spend time with them but I must say that Annelise just made our weekend. I talk to Angela on a weekly basis but actually getting to talk to and interact with Annelise was really great.
Annelise was absolutely amazing. She was so entertaining singing and talking and dancing. She would do something and then look around the room to make sure all eyes were on her (and of course they were). We couldn't take our eyes off of her. She was so sweet to everyone. Not only would she let us hold her but she would actually reach out for you to hold her which melted our hearts. She was absolutely perfect the entire weekend and we just couldn't get enough of her.
Disney World was nice however we were so consumed by Annelise that we would have been just as happy hanging out at the hotel playing with her. We enjoyed our quick trip! And I have now been to Florida and can knock that state off of my list!
It has been horrible adjusting to this darn time change. Monday and Tuesday Kyle and I were in bed around 9:00. I have also been completely unproductive.
I scheduled my second CPA exam for Nov 30Th. I am hoping to be able to get a lot of studying done over the Thanksgiving holidays. Now that it is scheduled I need to get to work studying!!!! (stressing!!)
I have been really stressed lately. I am a goal-oriented person. This is normally a good thing however once I set a goal I become consumed with reaching that goal. I start to stress myself out while thinking of ways to reach that goal as soon as possible. Again this could be a good thing however it is an endless cycle. As soon as I accomplish one goal I set new ones and have to attain those as soon as possible. For example, I am trying to figure out how we can payoff Kyle's truck because I will need a new car soon. However once I get my car I will be consumed with trying to pay that off. Don't get me started on student loans!!! (stressing!!)
I know I sound crazy. This is just another side effect of me being a control freak. One of the many things I need to work on!
