Happy Halloween!

This is what it is like taking pictures of two kiddos! I even deleted some!
Cooper is looking Casen isn't.

Casen is looking, Cooper isn't.

Cooper is looking but his eye itched and looks weird, Casen isn't looking.

Casen is looking and Cooper isn't!

Now it is getting ridiculous! They are doing it on purpose!

Now both not looking

Ugh!

Now it is just funny! But this was as good as it got.  I had to get to work!

Have a safe and happy halloween!

Weekend Recap

I am finally getting around to do a weekend recap.  Work has been crazy this week and our evenings have been just as busy at home.

Last weekend we didn't really have any plans.

We stayed home most of the day Saturday because Kyle was sick. While he slept I kept the boys entertained playing in the living room.  I love this picture with them besides my weird hand! LOL

Cooper wanted to play stickers and Casen was happy to play with him!

By that afternoon we were getting stir crazy so I told Cooper after nap we could go visit Mimi and Grandpa.  As soon as he woke up from his nap he asked if it was time.  We got there just in time for a four wheeler ride before it got dark and started to rain.  Cooper had his TCU gear on for the game.

Unfortunately they lost, but with a 3 hour delay we were in bed long before that!

I just can't get over this boy and how grown up he is all of a sudden.

Sunday Kyle was still sick so we did some more playing.  Cooper gave Casen his cowboy hat that is very misshapen but also well loved!

The day before I was taking some picture of the boys in their chairs so Cooper wanted to sit in them again.  Casen was sitting up like such a big boy.  I snapped these quickly with my phone, but then I grabbed my good camera for some pics.  I am going to go through though and share them soon (aka in a couple of months!)

I love how they look at each other and watch each other.

Casen thinks Cooper is very entertaining

Sunday evening I sat Casen in the highchair while I cooked. He did great!

A low key weekend was just what we needed before this crazy week and coming weekend!

4 month

Happy belated 4 months old my sweet boy!

Here are your stats from your 4 month appointment-
25 inches long (50%)
13lbs 13oz (18%)

His weight slowed down a bit this month but hopefully it was just before a growth spurt.

Size 2 diapers
3-6 month or 6 month clothes
You are still exclusively on breast milk. You nurse in the morning, at 5:30pm and 7:30 pm. You take 3 bottles of 4 ounces each while at day-care. I always send a fourth just in case you need it. Lately you have also been eating once or twice in the night. At this age with Cooper I struggled with my supply but he also ate more. I have had no issues with my supply so far.

At about 3 1/2 months you had a major sleep regression. You have not been sleeping well at all. You get up 2-3 times a night and it varies every night. Sometimes you just want a pacifier or to be reswaddled and other times you think you have to eat. I am not sure if it was because of a growth spurt, little stomach bug, or what but it has definitely been tough.

Spitting and drooling are your newest tricks! You still love to play with your tongue also which you will see in this pictures.
You don't talk much which is interesting. At this age Cooper was very talkative (babbled) and my post even says that Daddy was worried he would be a Chatty Cathy. Daddy was right! This makes me wonder if you will be our quiet one.

Your hemangioma is still there but I think it is a little smaller or maybe just slightly less raised. Or maybe it is just wishful thinking on my part. It isn't a big deal, but I am glad that it hasn't continued to get bigger.

You are done with the thrush now thank goodness!

You continue to do well at day-care but you don't like to sleep in your crib. You prefer the swing or bouncer. This is weird because you have no problem sleeping in your crib at home. I suspect it is because they can't swaddle you due to state regulations.

You like to listen to people talk and love for us to talk to you. Every time you hear your daddy, Cooper, or I talk you turn your head to find them. You like for us to sit by you whether you are in the bouncer or playing on the floor. You get fussy sometimes when we aren't around and day-care has said you do it there as well.

You laugh when we tickle but you don't laugh regularly.

This month you started sitting in your bumbo more often and seem to like it.

You also had your first slumber party away from me. You stayed with your Babi and Grandaddy and also Mimi and Grandpa.

You went to Six Flags for the first time (Cooper's first time as well) for my company picnic and you even rode your first ride (twice).

The best thing about you at this age is your smile. You love to smile at us and even have a little smirk/grin that melts my heart.

Casen Andrew, this has been another wonderful month with you.  We love you so much and can't get enough of you!

I just love those sweet little feet!
Here was your 3 month post

5 on Friday

1. This was my inspiration for Cooper's big boy bedding, but I didn't love the cream colored dessert scene fabric.

And here is what I designed and my Granny made!  This picture doesn't do it justice thanks to my iphone and crummy lighting.  I will take better pictures once we actually put his room together but I wanted to share it with you.

I absolutely love how it turned out and it is extra special that his great-grandmother made it.

She even made these little throw pillows.  Now I need to buy new sheets and some curtains.

2. Aunt Shari gave Cooper a set of stickers to make his own turkey.  We did that once night this week and this is what he came up with.  He did pretty good and he really enjoyed it.

He also woke up early one day this week and hung out in my bathroom while I got ready.  He entertained himself with my little clips.  I kept thinking of Edward Scissorhands!

3. I ordered Casen's Halloween bucket from the same lady that did Cooper's.  I think it turned out great!

4. This big boy got to sit up in the stroller for the first time when we went for a walk this week.

I got a pedometer from work this week to start tracking my steps.  I was really curious how many steps I take on a regular day and was shocked at how few it was! I guess I shouldn't be surprised since I have a desk job but I was just over 2000 at the end of my work day. That number is why we went for a walk which got me to 3500.  It was a short walk but it helped.  I have heard of people with goals of 10,000 steps a day! I have no clue how I would get that many steps.

Kyle and I are going to try to go for a walk a couple of times a week in the evenings until it get too cool.

5. And last but certainly not least... 4 more sleeps until the Minears get here.  I just realized that I have an apostrophe in Minears when I shouldn't.  I will correct it for next time, but I am not going to reupload this picture.
I seriously can't wait to hug them all and meet sweet Catelyn!!

Did anyone noticed that I crammed way more than 5 into this post because I had a lot I wanted to talk about today?

Have a good weekend!

Prayers Needed

Please pray for Holly, Darren, Brinly, and Jude. I do not know them personally, but read their story below and my heart aches for them right now.

http://www.themakingofbabyben.com/2013/10/my-nightmare-coming-true-17-weeks-and.html?showComment=1382638126849#c6647056965366172102

Holly and Darren have been trying to conceive for 3 years.  They have gone through countless treatments.  She has experienced 2 miscarriages.  One of those miscarriages was her triplet to Brinly and Jude.  Just 3 days ago she had a gender reveal party with family.  Yesterday her water broke and she is now in the hospital fighting for her babies lives.  Brinly's sac broke and they are praying for several miracles. And they are now facing some very difficult decisions.

Please join me in praying for Holly, Darren, their sweet babies, the doctors, their family, and their friends.

Our little ring bearer

Back over Labor Day weekend Kyle's cousin Ryan got married and Cooper was the ring bearer.  Here are pictures from my camera.

Cooper with Tiffany

Attempting a family picture

This was probably our best shot

Trying to stand still for the camera!

Uncle T and Mimi helping get his jacket on.

I love this picture with Mimi and Grandpa

He and Grandpa doing the Gig'em aggies sign

Napping right before the ceremony

Ryan with his parents

Waiting on his bride

Tiffany looked so pretty

There's our boy! He did awesome! (even though somehow Uncle T carried the pillow)

The cute little flower girl who had just learned to walk.

The beautiful bride

See our little guy at the bottom sitting on the steps.  The picture is blurry because it focused on the grandparents sitting in front of me.  I really need to take a class on how to use my camera and all of its features.

Casen got a little antsy and had to hangout in the back at one point, but Mimi didn't mind. (he barely has any hair in this picture compared to now)
