This week ended up
being a crazy one.
I got a call about
10:15 from Casen's speech school nurse that he was in a lot of pain and unable
to go to class. She said he was writhing around and very uncomfortable. All of
the pain was on his left side so shouldn't be anything like appendix. I gathered
up my stuff at work and picked him up. The poor guy was obviously in pain and
burst into tears as soon as he saw me. He hurt so bad he couldn't walk to the
car. I took him home to get some pepto and rest on the couch. I scheduled an
appointment with the pediatrician for 1. But shortly after getting home I
decided we needed to go to the ER. If he was really having that much pain then
the pediatrician wouldn't be able to do much so why wait for that appointment.
I had to carry him
into the ER and I looked like a hot mess with my big boy, but mommas do what
mommas gotta do. He continued to be in obvious pain that would come and go in
waves where he would just cry. It was so heartbreaking so I called Kyle to come
be with us. I just needed him there.
Right before Kyle go
there he said he had to pee really bad so we went to the restroom. Then he was
suddenly fine and could walk back to the room by himself. Smiled for a picture
without me asking and got engrossed in watching the ipad.
They took xrays and
results were backed up bowels and gas (he was full of shit). Treatment was
miralax at home and he should be all better within 3 days. Since he was no
longer in pain we took that treatment and headed home.
Our Casen is such a
tough kid so seeing him in that much pain really worried me and that is why we
took him to the ER. Everyone who knows me know we don't go to the doctor that
often so I was definitely worried. It is silly that it was just gas pains but I
was glad it wasn't anything more serious.
On the way home it
was time to pick up the other two.
Tuesday
Seriously we are so
blessed with these 3!
I took Tuesday off
and enjoyed field day with Cooper. I am going to share all of that in a
separate post because it is a lot of pictures. I loved spending this time with
him and seeing him with his friends.
Tuesday evening Chloe
and I took Casen to his last soccer game of the season. She liked hanging out
with mommy...literally
By the time we got
home she was tired, hungry, and cranky (who can blame her)
Wednesday morning
Cooper got in some snuggles
And watching mommy
get things done before heading to daycare
She loves playing on
the floor with her friends first thing each morning.
I love racing home to
see all of my babies, but let's be honest, she is the one that is excited to
see me too.
That night we decided
to have oatmeal for the first time. I never rush to do oatmeal with my kids. I
have been blessed with good sleepers that didn't cause us to try it sooner.
However at first she
was more interested in her brothers getting popsicles
Despite this face she
gobbled it right up.
Thursday morning
Casen had to check on his girl.
And Cooper had to get
his turn (seriously they love her so much)
That night Casen
wanted to help feed Chloe and he did awesome. He was so attentive and sweet.
And then it was
Friday. I took the day off again to go to Casen's pre-k graduation. Kyle
originally took the morning off but ended up taking the whole day with us.
Here is Chloe in her
holiday Chloe's for Memorial Day Weekend
LOVE this picture
I will do a separate
post for Casen's pre-k graduation because again lots of pictures.
Casen's graduation
and Cooper's 2nd grade awards were at the exact same time so we didn't get to
be there for Cooper. Luckily another mom took some pictures for me.
Cooper had a great
teacher and a great year. He got AB honor roll (darn math) and citizenship.
Afterwards we grabbed
lunch and then headed to Alley Cats for some fun.
Then we raced back
home. I dropped off the boys and picked up Chloe. We went to watch Mac and
Tinsley's gymnastics meet. They did so good but I forgot to get any pictures of
them. My sister took these of Chloe.
Whew it was a little
bit crazy and a whole lot of fun. I am so thankful I was able to take off and
be with the kids on their special days.
