Cooper's Birthday

Cooper's birthday is 4th of July and was on a Saturday this year so we had his party that morning.  When he woke up he got to open a little present.

We had his party at a park near our house from 9-11 with breakfast foods.  I will share pictures soon. This is the best family picture we got.

We had so many family and friends there and Cooper loved every minute of his party

He got an iron man mask and gloves that he wore the remainder of the party

After the party MacKenzie and Tinsley came over to play for a while before nap time.  Kyle went to Ennis to help my dad get some work done.  When the boys woke up from nap we got the sprinkler out and played.  They had never done this before at home and loved it.

Cooper asked me to join and I couldn't resist.  I don't want to be remembered as the one who took pictures to capture memories but was never in the memory.  So we had a blast.

We even enjoyed Cooper's new bubble gun.

Then we cleaned up and headed out for dinner. Cooper's first request was pizza but our two local pizza places closed early for the holiday.  He then decided on mac and cheese so we went to Logan's Roadhouse.  As soon as we pulled up he said 'they have peanuts! I love peanuts!'

This was my first time to eat out at a restaurant with them just the three of us.  It was definitely challenging but I am still glad we did it.

Our server messed up my order. Instead of a 6 oz sirloin I got a 12 ounce ribeye! It was huge and delicious.  I only ate half. While eating dinner Casen decided he only wanted to use his fork to comb his hair...with mac and cheese on it! Think Little Mermaid.

I caught this sweet moment of the boys while waiting for dessert.  Cooper said 'I love you Casen.' Be still my heart!

The boys shared a mini dessert (really it was Cooper's). Casen had one bite and then apparently used his spoon to comb Cooper's hair...with chocolate fudge on it!

Cooper wanted to give me a kiss and man did he! Ha!

Iron man got fed up with baby brother and went to the other side of the booth with his dessert.

We came home to our very own ninja turtle by our front door. We all touched it and were surprised by it's soft shell.  Kyle said that is because it was a water turtle. This was a very fast moving turtle because we went back out to see it and could find it no where.

Sunday morning Cooper woke up early and wanted to go to church with me so the two of us went together.  He did so well in church and I loved my time with him.

Then we went home and loaded up to head to Ennis.  Kyle had more work to do and the boys had scheduled some water park time :)

My sister saw this great deal on a slide at Kohl's a few weeks ago and my dad agreed to pay for it so we bought it right away.  This was the first time to play with it and the boys loved it.

This is a lot of pictures but I like the play by play

Afterwards Casen stayed at Babi and Grandaddy's for a sleepover and Cooper went with us.  I treated him to frozen yogurt and we had a great time.

Cooper's birthday weekend was amazing.  He probably won't remember all of this but I just loved it all.  I hope one day I can show him this blog and share what we did.

Tonight I have to do his questionnaire that we did last year.

Randoms

Random pictures from last week

Walking into school with his umbrella

And a quick picture of my twinkies thanks to Mimi.

My mom is so funny.  She loves to wear sunglasses, but she is constantly losing them.  So she buys her sunglasses at dollar stores.  Last weekend I was leaving my granny's when I saw that my mom had once again left her sunglasses.  We were headed to the same place in separate cars so I grabbed them, but then forgot to give them to her.  So one day last week I took this picture to let her know I had them.

I went to the dermatologist last week because adult acne is killing me.  About 6 months after I stopped nursing my skin started breaking out and it has continued for the past 8 months.  It is horrible, I am self-conscious, and the scarring sucks! So anywho I went to the dermatologist and saw this fancy sink in the restroom.  Has anyone ever seen a faucet like this?  I admit it was cool, but there was no water pressure because the water just ran off that glass plate type thing.

Cooper stayed at Aunt Lusa's one night so it was just me and Casen.  My little hoarder wanted to take everything in to school with him

My boys enjoyed a yummy rice krispie treat and they loved it!

Someone has seen mommy working from home a time or two.

Last Thursday we sent donuts to school for Cooper's birthday.

They of course needed donuts for breakfast too. I love Casen's cheesy smile.

And then Cooper's fake smile

Last weekend we saw 3 live scorpions within 12 hours.  Here is one below that Cooper found outside.

Now realize how small it is.  That little action figure is about 1.25 inches long!! That scorpion was ridiculously little. Casen enjoyed stepping on it :)

Friday morning I was off work but had to work from home to meet a deadline.  The boys entertained themselves with 'dirt' out on the porch in their pjs and rain boots.

We also went for a ride around the block in the gator and did some other playing.  Then Cooper woke up from his nap and I was done with work so we snuck away to run errands for his birthday party.  Here he has candy in his mouth and was so excited for our adventure together.  We listened to Shake It Off at least 4 times. I also want to note that Cooper has been so affectionate lately.  He tells me he loves me, hugs me, ask for kisses, or wants to cuddle.  We have our moments but this boy really knows how to make me feel good.

That evening my mom met the boys and I for dinner.

Then we went for the promised snow cones because Cooper completed swim lessons.

Snow cones at 8pm was a BAD idea.  My boys were so hyper when we got home I thought I was going to go crazy.  I had a list of things to get done for the party because I knew Saturday was going to be an early morning.  We did take the time to go outside and enjoy our neighbors fireworks.  It is nice living in the country where we can enjoy everyone else's money explode in the sky :)

My mom stayed the night to help me get things ready and I am so glad she did.  Cooper was excited to have a bed buddy and for Babi to read books to him.  Before they headed to bed I wanted my last selfie with my 3 year old!

Remembering Baby C

On July 3rd, 2010 I found out I was pregnant and on July 8, 2010 I miscarried that baby.  My life was forever changed.  Today marks 5 years since my miscarriage and I am still mourning. I am in a different stage of mourning but I still mourn the loss.  I ask for your prayers today and your prayers for all of the women who have lost or will lose a child.

**At the time of the miscarriage I wasn't comfortable sharing it.  In October of 2010 I shared this post below**

On Saturday July 3rd my life changed in an instant. It would never been the same. I became a mommy. I had been feeling off for a couple of days so I decided to take a pregnancy test. This is what I saw....

I was shocked and thrilled. I remember Kyle's reaction like it was yesterday. He just couldn't believe it. So we went to CVS and bought more tests to check again.
Yes he made me take 2 more tests. But there was no denying what it said. There it was in plain English. We were thrilled and it was perfect timing because we were going to get to share this with our family over 4th of July. We told my parents with a cute onesie (I don't have a picture of it) and Kyle's parents with a F-35 pool float that is the same type of plane that Kyle is assigned to as his job.

It was an amazing wonderful weekend. That excitement didn't last long as I started bleeding and miscarried my baby on July 8, 2010. I was pregnant for 18 days (almost 5 weeks for the way they medically calculate it).
I know to some it sounds silly and dramatic that my life changed and will never be the same. After all it isn't like I was 8 weeks and heard the heartbeat or 12 weeks with a baby bump or 16 weeks and learning the sex of my baby or 9 month and have to give birth to a child and then lose it. But from the moment I saw the words "pregnant" I became a mommy. I knew that I had life in me and that I would bring a child into this world. But God had a different plan for us. We would not bring a child into this world. After 18 days I was no longer a mommy. I would not get to experience all of those milestones with my baby.
I would have been 19 weeks this coming Sunday and probably already know if we were having a boy or girl.
I know that someday I will get to experience all of those milestones but I can't help but think that I wanted to experience those with that baby. The next pregnancy will not make up for the lost one. I will always miss those unexperienced milestones. I will always think of that baby and what he or she would have been like.
I look forward to the day when we see the words "pregnant" again, and we hear a heartbeat, find out the sex, and bring a baby into this world. Today however is for the baby that Kyle and I lost.
In remembrance of Baby Cline lost on July 8, 2010 and due March 14, 2011.

Weekend recap

I have not been in the mood to blog this week so I am going to do a couple of quick ones to get caught up.

Last Saturday we had a swim date at Aunt Lusa's house.  The kids' friends, Vincent and Weatherly were also there.  I failed at pictures and this is the only one I got.  We had a fun time.

Then Tinsley and Casen went with me while Cooper and Mac went with Aunt Lusa.  The older two had a birthday party to go to so Melisa handled that.

This picture is misleading. At least have of that stuff was already out when they got there.

Tinsley is finally getting used to Ranger.  She and Casen had a great time playing (or torturing him) by chasing him for hugs.

They caught him

The played really well together and then it was nap time

Sunday the boys and I met Melisa for mass and then we all went to Ennis. Of course their first request was to go see the cows and piggies.  We played for a while and then loaded up in Melisa's Explorer to go on an adventure.

Kyle met us there but chose to take the pic but cut himself out.  We were all loaded up on the mule.

Then Granny invited us over for lunch and we enjoyed homemade chocolate pie

And a little game playing.
