Friday Favorites

I am going to share my favorite pictures I took this week and linking up here

On Tuesday I made spaghetti for dinner thanks to premade homemade spaghetti sauce that I cook and then freeze for quick easy meals.  The recipe is one my MIL shared with me.

Here is Casen praying with Cooper.

But as soon as he notices the camera he is all smiles!

This was Cooper last night praying.  He used to rush through prayers and I would try to get him to slow down.  Now he says 'I prayed right this time mommy.  Jesus likes when I pray right'

And Casen is so cute when Cooper prays. I have noticed he is starting to say the words with him.

After dinner we went outside to enjoy the weather and a cookie.  Superman loved his cookie and tried to hijack his brother's.

Cooper loves taking pictures with me right now.

And we played 'basketball' ie bouncing the ball back and forth to each other

He loved it.

I came across this picture on Facebook. I am wearing this exact same shirt today. Should have taken a selfie.  But look how little sweet Cooper is. And how brown my hair was.  And how pale I look. #vampirepale

I shared this picture on instagram.  I decided I needed to wear boots and jeans today.  I am ready for my fall clothes so this was my attempt to start the change.  But it is still hot outside.  However the forecast says 84 tomorrow and 89 on Sunday.

We have a busy weekend and I am so excited.  I can't wait to go to my first Horned Frog game in probably 4 years!  Have a great weekend!

Weekend Recap

All of a sudden today is Thursday and I haven't blogged all week.  It is fun having a short week thanks to Labor Day.

Friday evening we decided to go to Tio Tony's for dinner and then take the boys to the park to play.

Saturday morning I decided to go far a run but I wasn't feeling very motivated. And the boys were waiting on me to get back and go get them donuts.  So my run was short but my time was good.

I shared this Cooper story on Facebook that morning

Then we invited MacKenzie, Tinsley, Vincent, and Weatherly to play in the sprinklers and have lunch (with their mommas).  The kids weren't real big on the sprinkler but they loved the Gator.  The kids were really good and had a lot of fun. I wish I had taken pictures!

When they left the playroom looked like this.  However a lot of this was out before they got there.  I definitely had some cleaning to do during nap time.

After naps we took the boys to Mimi and Grandpa's for a slumber party.  Kyle and I went to a wedding.  Our first selfie of the night.

Me and my roomie!

Me and my Mr. He dressed up and wore a tie.  He must love me!

The gorgeous ballroom with a Jay photobomb

Another selfie and a little smile

Last week one of my blogs talked about a fancy salad in a martini glass and then look what we found here! This salad was a greek salad and was really good!

Another pic with the roomie.  It is too bright with the flash but I liked that you could see my dress better

Not so bright!

Claire, Jodi, Katherine, and I

Instead of a grooms cake they had a brownie bar that was delicious!!  The first time I went they didn't have the ice cream.  But the second time they did...yes I went back for seconds!

Me and the gorgeous Mrs. Radcliffe! Love this girl and so excited for her!

And our last selfies of the night on the escalator

Sunday we slept in a little and grabbed a yummy breakfast.  Then I went to church and Kyle went to run an errand and get the boys. This breakfast was amazing! Kyle ate so much he was full the rest of the day. I took leftovers and ate them Monday morning!

After church I ran to the grocery store.  I saw these two items in the workout section.  My name is Dianna and I am obsessed with buying workout clothes.  I really don't own that much but every time I go to Walmart I look at their workout clothes.  They are cheap and I love them!  I resisted buying these two items even though they were TCU purple!

When the boys got home I fed them lunch and tried to get them to take a nap. That was unsuccessful.  So around 5 we met Babi in Waxahachie.  The boys were invited to spend the night at Babi and Grandaddy's house!

Kyle and I went to dinner, Academy, and watched a movie.  Monday Kyle went to Ennis and I did a lot of cleaning.  Cleaned the house from top to bottom.  I was so thankful that my mom kept the boys so I could do the things that I never get around to.  Then when the boys got home we had dinner and played games.  They love hungry hippos but I have said it before and will say it again- Hungry Hippose is the LOUDEST game ever.

We had a wonderful weekend that was balanced with fun and productivity.  I am thankful for this short work week.  And I get to see my Horned Frog friends again this weekend thanks to my sister Melisa.  She got tickets to the game and invited me!

Happy Thursday!

Some randoms

Last Tuesday was my company's annual service awards lunch.  This fancy salad was too fancy for me.  It had diced cucumbers, beets, onions, tomatoes, soft cheese and was just a bit weird.  I did eat a little.

I shared this pic on instagram of the fake steak.  It was actually beef roast but when it came out it looks like steak. We also had chicken but I gave my chicken to a friend who can't eat beef.  I thought it was an okay meal.  You can see the fruit tart in the background.  We have had better meals than this year, but it was still free!

I saw this on Facebook and it made me laugh.  This is how I feel when people say 'did you see on the news....?'

Tuesday afternoon a couple of us flew to Houston to deliver training to one of our teams.  We went to Ninfa's for dinner and it was good.  I wish I had been there long enough to touch base with Houston friends, but not this time.

I came back Wednesday night.  Then on Thursday afternoon I went to the Ranger game for work.  It was a day game and it is August so attendance was lacking.  Luckily we got to sit in the all you can eat seats that are covered so no sunburn for this pale girl.

When walking around I saw the boomstick and some other specialty foods.  They looked delicious despite the ridiculous size.

It was a fun week at work last week.

This Tuesday I tried a new recipe and was disappointed. Basically it was homemade hamburger helper. Don't think I will make it again.

Then later we went for a walk/ride around the neighborhood.  I love these two boys so much!

Then Tuesday evening I took this picture in bed with Cooper. I know I already mentioned how sweet he is but almost daily he does something that just melts my heart.  This time he came up to me hiding a book and saying 'guess which book I picked?'  He turned to show me Bernstein Bears Go Green.  Now honestly this isn't my favorite book but it is my favorite of the Bernstein Bear books we have and each night when he asks me which book I want to read I say that one.  And almost every time he says 'No mommy. Not that one! You always pick that one!' And I respond with 'I always pick that one because you never let me read it.'

This time he was so cute and excited to pick this book. I was over the top and praised him for picking this book because it is my favorite.  Then he later said 'Mommy, I love picking your favorite book.'

Then last night he came up with another surprise book and said 'Guess what I picked for you!?!?' and showed me Little Blue Truck.  Now THIS is my favorite book of his!  And he was so excited again to make me happy.  I was just so proud of him choosing something that he knows someone else likes even if it isn't his favorite.  And again he said 'Mommy, I love picking your favorite books. It makes you happy.' And I said 'Yes, it does make me happy. You are such a sweet boy!' Maybe I am doing something right with this one.

Then this morning we had to wear our purple for TCU game day!  Casen was excited about taking the picture with me but he wanted to push the button which results in him being way too close.  This was the best we got.

And Cooper wanted in the picture but was acting shy.  He looks sad or mad but wasn't.  Oh and he decided he didn't want to wear purple!! I know! What is wrong with him! #actslikehisdaddysometimes

I am excited to watch the game tonight and will switch Casen into his jersey even though it starts at his bedtime.  Go frogs!!
