Friday Fun

On Friday Cooper and Chloe went to daycare and Casen and I spent the day together. The first thing was errands to CVS and Walmart. Our Walmart stop included buying food to take to a food pantry and treats to mail to Uncle John.

Then we raced home to meet the pest control people for our 10am appointment....he didn't show until 12:15 and finished at 1. We get regular pest control maintenance but suddenly we have an ant problem.

By the time he left we didn't have a ton of time but we decided to head to Aunt Lusa's for a swim. It was so much fun it just being the two of us. He worked on swimming, jumping in and we also tried doing a handstand in the water, touching the bottom, front flips and back flips in the water (not from the side of the pool)

Coco is my BIL's dog and she is sweet but huge.

Since Kyle was at his guys dinner we picked up Cooper and Chloe to head to Sweet Frog for frozen yogurt. Again we used giftcards for our treat (we got to have so much fun these two days thanks to gift cards).

Someone is always making a silly face.

Chloe got to have some frozen yogurt (everyone wanted to share with her) and she was a fan. Though later that night she seemed to have a tummy ache.

This boy adores Chloe girl

We went home for a quiet night. Do you spy a face in the pillows? He asked if he could sleep there and I said no.

But then when the movie was over I found this and decided to leave him.

I really enjoyed my time with Casen, my sweet middle child.

Fun Day

Thanks to a long maternity leave I have quite a few vacation days to spare this year. So I decided to take Thursday and Friday of to have one-on-one days with each boy. Thursday was supposed to be Cooper's day and Friday was supposed to be Casen's. Well Wednesday night Cooper informed me he would rather go to day-care. I love that he loves daycare but this momma heart broke....like cried before I went to bed.

I told him that was fine and Casen said I want to stay with you.

Luckily Thursday morning he said he changed his mind and wanted to go but Casen quickly reminded him no he had to go to day-care because he got two days. I told Casen that Cooper got to have his day but then Cooper decided to let Casen join him because laser tag would be more fun....and I didn't want to have to go see Toy Story 4 twice since it was on both of their lists.

Early Thursday morning I received a reminder that it was a Holy Day of Obligation for the Feast of the Assumption of Mary. I looked up mass times and that was our first stop. Honestly the boys weren't thrilled with this but we went anyway and it wasn't so bad :)

Next stop was donuts. The boys wanted donuts but for some reason they had a bad attitude about going in and 'this donut place'. I am just sharing these moments to remember that it wasn't all sunshine and rainbow.

After donuts we headed to Arlington to Alley Cats for laser tag and arcade games. We had some leftover game cards from Cooper's birthday with laser tag on them and tickets they and their friends earned. We did 3 rounds of laser tag and arcade games for only $25!

Can you tell we are in a phase of making goofy faces when mommy wants a picture?

We had a lot of fun and still have a few rounds of laser tag to go back. By the way if you like alley cats there is a groupon for a great deal that I plan to buy before we go back next time!

Next stop was Chickfila. Again keeping it real- we sat in the parking lot for 30 minutes so I could pump and the boys played ipad. I am thankful that it was no big deal for them.

Then we went in for lunch and to play for a while until our movie time. A big deal for them was that Cooper got to get an ice cream cone instead of a cup since we weren't in the car taking it home. (ice cream cones are messy). They made several friends in the play room and had a good time not being rushed.

And our final stop was the movie theater (Cooper kept calling it 'the Cinemark' because of the sign outside). Our tickets were free thanks to giftcards!

The movie was super cute and we had a good time.

Then we raced home to get Chloe and Daddy before heading to Meet the teacher.

Casen's teacher is Ms. McDonald and she is the same teacher that had Cooper. She is a great teacher with high expectations for her students. Cooper struggled in the beginning but then settled in and did great. I pray for the same for Casen.

Cooper has Mrs. Hamblet which happens to be the mom of another 3rd grader so I interacted some with her last year but didn't really get to know her.

They were told to take a picture with their class mascot the cactus.

He gets to switch classrooms for ELAR and he has Mrs. Cheshier (sp?)

She had a photobooth setup and Casen jumped in.

Meet the teacher is always hectic and a little stressful. They split the time by grades but I think they would be better of to split it by the alphabet so each teacher had half the students at a time. The rooms are just total chaos trying to meet the teacher and follow any instructions they have.

Weekend recap and more

Our Saturday morning snuggles in our jammies -no makeup and my mouthguard still in :)

Then Kyle got to work putting together box forts

Chloe and I supervised because she was fighting her morning nap

Around 1 Cooper's friends Conner and Vincent came over for a nerf war. I went back and forth trying to decide if Casen should have some friends over but decided against it. I was worried about having too many boys running around the house and worried the older kids would gang up on the younger kids. Casen is a tough kid so I knew he could hang with the big boys. And they were so good about including him and not ganging up 3-1. We plan to invite some friends of Casen's over soon for another nerf war.

The boys had so much fun and ran around like crazy for about an hour and a half.

Mommy and daddy even joined in on the fun. Cooper told his friends 'watch out my mom is good. We have been practicing'

Then I took the boys outside for water balloons. They went through 6 packages of the bunch o balloons in less than 10 minutes (~250 balloons)

Then it was time for popsicles and cooling off their feet.

So cute and so funny

Wishing I had a pool about now...

Somehow they thought of bobbing for apples and I happened to have some so why not?

Chloe passed out with her daddy

She stayed injury free in our bedroom :)

Then the boys went back to nerf war until about 5.

Vincent stayed the night and the boys had so much fun. I am thankful for sweet friendships.

Sunday we went to Tio Tony's and Chloe sat in a high chair at a restaurant for the first time.

See those pretty little eyes checking out the table? A few minutes later she grabbed my drink and spilled it all over the floor. Its a good thing she is cute. Between the spill and a misbehaving little boy we were a hot mess.

After lunch we went to visit Aunt Jen Jen and Uncle David in FW. I didn't take a single picture while we were there but the boys had fun playing ping pong in their loft.

Then we were back home to get ready for the week.

This picture is Monday morning. I love how Chloe was trying to see what they were doing.

Monday night we did our first RE lesson that I had attempted a few days before. This time I was prepared and much more successful. Casen decided we needed snacks and Cooper complimented on him doing a good job. I really enjoyed seeing what my boys already knew and helping them learn more about our faith.

Snack was a cheese stick, beef jerky stick and fruit by the foot :)

Our first lesson was on the blessed trinity

Sweet girl looking sassy in her cheetah. Cooper was a fan and kept telling her how cute and pretty she looked. Have I mentioned his love language is words of affirmation?

I took these pictures of a dress from my granny that my sisters and I wore as babies. It doesn't fit her very well because it gaps at the buttons but still a sweet little memory.

And Chloe tried on her new outfit. She is ready to bleed purple on game day! (her brothers have matching polos!! I will beg, plead, and bribe to get them to wear it a couple of times this football season.

Sweet girl is all smiles Thursday before school.
