Casen's Baptism

Casen's baptism was a month ago and I finally went through the pictures to share with you and document on here.

Casen's Godparents are Aunt Lusa and Uncle Trent

At the event were- Babi, Grandaddy, Aunt Lusa, Uncle Trent, MacKenzie, Tinsley, Mimi, Grandpa, Uncle Tyler, Aunt Shari, Uncle Ron, Granny Johnson, and Grandad Sylvester.

It was performed by Father Antonio at St. John's in Ennis

Afterwards we went to lunch at Don Jose's to celebrate.

I LOVE this picture!! I can't stop looking at Casen with his great-grandmother!

Me and my sweet Goddaughter!

I love this sweet face!

Sweet little Tinsley!

He screamed when the water was poured over his head.

He was blessed with chrism oil and I love the smell.  It stuck with him for like a week after that and each time it reminded me of his baptism.

With his Godparents

Mimi gave Cooper a new train and he decided to run it up Kyle's neck during pictures.

With his Babi and Grandaddy

I really wish I had realized my sweater looked like that!

With his Mimi and Grandpa

I think Casen looks a lot like his daddy in these pictures

Afterwards at lunch Grandaddy got a chance to hold both babies!

This was such a special day for Casen and our family.  I am so thankful for all those that came to celebrate with us.  I am also very thankful for Uncle Ron who took these pictures and captured this special occasion for us.

Weekend recap

Friday evening we went to our last dinner with my sister and her family before they left for Korea.  It was pretty sad saying goodbye, but for some reason I didn't get an emotional as I have in the past.

Me with sweet Catelyn

Me with my bitty boy!

Lusa with Cate

Me and my first niece! She looks about 12 in this picture!

Saturday morning we did laundry and then did some running around.  Our day was very busy and somehow we didn't get much accomplished.

Cooper kept asking for Riley to sit with him and after much hesitation she caved.  He was very sweet with her (this time)

Casen did a little modeling for Mimi!

Cooper was very busy with all of his cars and trucks!

Casen with Grandpa

Mimi loves her Christmas decorations and already had some up.  She saved some bells for Cooper to put on the tree.  He tried to put them all on the same branch : )

Then it was time to play trains.  This train set is from when Kyle was little.  Mimi is the best train track designer ever.  She has a good imagination.  I always end up with a circle!

Sunday Kyle slept in with the boys and I went to church by myself.  It was really nice to listen and get something out of church.  After that we loaded up and went to Ennis to visit Babi and Grandaddy.

I didn't take very many pictures, but we had a good time.

These boys love their Grandaddy!

5 on Friday

1. Wednesday night was not a good night.  Cooper woke up just before midnight and I went in there to comfort him.  I started to lay in the bed, but for some reason stopped to turn on the light.  I don't know if he said something or if it was just my gut but it is a good thing I did.  He had puked all over his bed and I would have laid right in it!!!  He continued to get sick every 10-15 minutes for the next 3 hours.

This was Cooper's first time to throw up and it was so sad.  He didn't understand what was going on and was so upset.  I finally fell asleep just before 3 and didn't throw up again thank goodness.

So after 2 years and 4 months the streak has ended.  I am a proud momma that I went that long without having to clean up kid puke! Plus he was a little tired and mopey the rest of the day, but overall felt better.

2.  Cooper is back to school today and feeling fine.  I caught these pictures of Cooper and Aiden looking out the window when I was leaving!  Of course I couldn't get them to both look at me at the same time, but whatever.  You get two pictures!

I know this is shocking but those are THE ONLY pictures I took all week! I will try to make up for it this weekend!

3. This morning I realized I have a problem.  My milk supply this go around is much better.  Well maybe not better but Casen doesn't eat quite as much as Cooper so I have a surplus.  I am able to freeze about 20 ounces a week if not more.  This actually isn't that much considering he drinks about 25 ounces a day if I didn't nurse at all.  I am now up to about 50-5 ounce bags in my freezer and I am running out of space.  Not sure what I am going to do with all of this milk.  Obviously I won't waste it.

The frozen supply is a nice security blanket for those times that my production is a little low.  Or God forbid I am out of commission at some point in the future.  Remember when Cooper was 9 months I had to have my appendix removed! I battled my supply a lot with Cooper and it was a source of stress for me. I appreciate one less thing to stress about this go around because I have plenty on my list.  I wish we had room for a little freezer in our garage, but that just isn't the case right now.

4. The past two nights I have had Blue Bell before bed.  We bought a half gallon about 2 weeks ago and have been so busy we haven't eaten much of it.  I actually finished it off last night and figured that was a good thing because ice cream before bed is a bad habit.  This morning I stepped on the scale and I lost two pounds!! I guess I need to run out and get more Blue Bell.  This is the best diet ever!!

5. I am really fighting the urge to shop!  Like really bad!  I keep telling myself to wait until Christmas, but a lot of the stuff I want is hard to put on a Christmas list.  I want some new brown boots to wear with skinny jeans. I need new dress pants for work. I want to buy some cute shirts that I can wear with leggings, and need more leggings.  I just keep seeing all of these cute ads and trends and I want to jump on board.  I am trying to be good!  So if you need/want to get my something for Christmas money or a shopping trip would do!

6.  Okay so I know that there are only supposed to be 5, but #5 made me think of something that I am really excited about.  My sister and I are doing a shopping trip the Monday before Thanksgiving.  She has the day off and I have some spare days off.  It stinks that it will be before Christmas money, but I am so excited.  The kids will be at day-care and we can shop all day!  It will be like when we were 21 and 24 without kids! We probably won't do that much shopping for ourselves because it is supposed to be Christmas shopping but I bet we sneak a little bit in for us!

Ok that is all!

Have a wonderful weekend!

Weekend Recap

The theme for the weekend was Wild, Crazy, Busy, Loud and a Blast!

I did a horrible job at taking pictures with my phone this weekend but that was because it was so busy. And part of the weekend was busy taking pictures with my nice camera for a special project for my mom.  I CAN'T WAIT to show that to you around Christmas.

Friday I took a half day from work so that I could pack up all of our stuff for a weekend at my parents. I was running around like a crazy person, but I did get it done.

We got to Ennis around 7:30 Friday night.  It was just me and the two boys.  Kyle headed to Ennis early Saturday morning for the first hunt of deer season! I had a great time soaking up time with Annelise and Catelyn.  Plus Angela and I got to sit and chat for a while.

This sweet boy got to try a banana puff for the first time.  You can see it kinda looks like he has a tooth above. He wasn't too sure about it and he didn't end up swallowing either of the two I gave him.

I think that smile says a lot! Man that boy has my heart!!

Saturday we were busy little bees getting ready for a family get together at my parents house.  We had all of my mom's side of the family over to have dinner and see my sister.  Below is a picture of my grandfather with his 3 youngest grandchildren (out of 16) and 15 great-grandchildren. The other 13 grandchildren didn't take a picture because we kinda consider ourselves the older ones as we are married and having kids.  But my aunts 3 kiddos are younger and are growing up with our kiddos instead of us.  Does that make sense?

There were 27 adults and 18 kids at my parents house at one time!

In the picture the oldest is 8 and the youngest was 4 days old. A lot of the babies are in black because of the special project that I mentioned above.

The house was loud and crazy but so much fun.  All of the food was delicious, the kids loved playing together, and the adults couldn't stop laughing and talking.

Sunday morning we got up early and went to church.  The 3 boys went hunting so it was interesting at church with all of the babies and my parents.

Then again we were busy little bees getting ready for my cousin's bridal shower.  My cousin Randy is getting married in December so we hosted a bridal shower for Abbey at my aunt's house.  The shower turned out so nice.  It was a small shower which was perfect because it gave us a chance to talk to Abbey and get to know her more.  The food turned out delicious and it was another nice day.  I wish I had taken some pictures, but since her mom was taking pictures I didn't take any.

The boys and I didn't get home until 7:45 last night and Kyle was about 30 minutes behind us.  We were all exhausted and collapsed into bed.

Though this weekend was jam packed with craziness it was also a really great weekend.  I enjoyed all of the family time.

It reminds me how truly blessed I am.  I wouldn't trade the craziness for anything!

The Koreans are here!

Ok so they are just Americans living in Korea, but I made you look!

Tuesday night we all went to Melisa's house to see my older sister and her family.

Here I am with my first niece who is almost 5!!  The pic is blurry because my phone sucks lately and I really need a new one.

Catelyn and I
She is 6 1/2 months and I finally got to hold her for the first time.  For about 5 minutes she wasn't sure, but then if I reached out for her she would reach out to me to pick her up! The sweetest thing ever!  I forgot how great it feels to have a little baby reach for you and want you!

Aunt Lala holding Casen for the first time.

He loves to smirk

Catelyn decided she was ready to sit on her own at this point and was so cute!

Playing with Tinsley

She came back up with this in her mouth! lol

Poor Tinsley lost a sock!

Catelyn, Tinsley, and Casen.
They are 7 weeks apart total! Isn't that crazy!

I still can't believe my sisters and I have babies the same age together.

Grandaddy is great at putting babies to sleep!

Another blurry one. Us girls with our kiddos.

Babi did a little craft project with the older ones.

We had a great time visiting with them.

I am so glad they are here.   I am so also so thankful that Angela's girls are so friendly.  They jump in like they were never gone.
