Easter with the Clines

On Easter Sunday we celebrated with Kyle's family.  Unfortunately the weather wasn't near as pretty as the day before, but that didn't stop us.

Aunt Shari makes an Easter cake every year and it is always impressive.

I think Casen looks so much like me below.  Seriously I will have to find the picture next time I am at my parents.

Cooper didn't let the weather stop him one little bit.  He was an egg hunting pro at this point.

And then he looks like his daddy here!

We didn't have much luck getting a good picture of the two of them.

This is another picture of Casen where he looks like me. I will be on a mission to prove this!

Mimi helped them check out there loot

Poor Casen fell down and got a bloody mouth and nose.  He was crying until I took this pic and of course he cheesed for the camera.

Our boys are so spoiled and got lots of Easter goodies

The best picture we got. Cracks me up!

Check out 2014, 2013, and 2012

I still laugh so hard when I look at the pictures from 2014 where Casen falls.
And 2013- holy cow I was huge and still had two months to go! Man I wish I was a cute little prego person!
2012, 2013, and 2015 have all required jackets or indoor hunts! Seriously not sure why Easter Sunday weather is sucky and happens to be when we celebrate with my husband's side!

Sylvester Easter

The day before Easter we had our annual Sylvester Easter egg hunt which is my mom's side of the family. We had yummy food and then it was time for the hunt.

We had 19egg hunters (3 grandkids and 16 great grandkids)!  2 of the great grandkids weren't here and we know there is another one due at the end of 2015!

And there off!

My grandfather mowed however he decided to leave one area unmowed so it would be good to hide eggs in the clover and taller grass.  Unfortunately within 2 minutes of the egg hunt starting the septic sprinkler went off on a section of the egg hunt area!  We all screamed as we grabbed kids out of the way!

My boys insisted on wearing their rain boots and I obliged since it had recently rained and we weren't sure how muddy it might be.

Every year we take turns letting the kids find an egg in the alligators mouth.  Casen had no problem getting his egg.

My cousin Drew.  I love this picture and it reminds me how my wild, rambunctious boy cousins have turned into wonderful, loving fathers.

Grandaddy and his shadow

I can't get over Casen's face in this picture!

My Aunt Sandra had the best idea with buying confetti eggs.  She had a ton of them and the kids had a blast. Mac had just broken one on Melisa.

Grandaddy helped Cooper get Daddy with a confetti egg

Oops got some in his cup!

Now that he got the hang of it baby brother was his next victim.

Poor baby brother got hit again. Somehow Cooper had about a dozen of these and hardly any candy.  But that was just fine with me and him.

Mac chasing Coop! He didn't like being on the receiving end of the confetti egg.

Time to ride the train! Cooper and his fake smile!

Grant took the kids on some rides and Casen rode on the front.  He loved every second!

We took the soccer ball with us and Cooper and Quinn decided to play.  Cooper did so good and loved it.

Grandad's cat had recently had kittens so the boys checked them out.  I had to be the brave momma and help them...I am not a cat person.

It wasn't until after Melisa left that we realized we forgot to reenact this picture! Darn it!

So 3/4 decided to do it anyway and it was rough.

This is our life! I love that all three mommas are smiling like it is no big deal as our child squirms to get away.

Cooper also joined a fun game of soccer with the big boys (Nolan and Grant).  He did awesome.  I just wish he would have done that this past fall.  Maybe we will try again this coming fall.

My how the group has grown since 2013. And Melisa, you need to put Tinsley in the same dress as Mac and compare them because I just love those pics of Mac!

Check out my post from 2014 and 2013 and 2012 to compare

Friday Favorites!

I am linking up with Erika for Friday Favorites

1. Monday afternoon Kyle and I each took a half day of vacation spur of the moment.  I didn't make it to the grocery store over the weekend and wanted to clean our floors without the kids home.  Well Kyle convinced me we needed to do some shopping first.  We went to our favorite local store, Into the West to see if they had any new wall décor for our kitchen. And look what we found!

It is hard to tell in the picture above but the middle area is a distressed metal with green, blue, and red in it.  Then the frame is a blue/turquoise color.  It doesn't have hooks so we haven't hung it yet, but I think it is going to look great.  I will try to remember to share a picture once it is hung.

2. That evening I had a girls' night with my sister Melisa and my cousin Erica.  My Aunt Neva offered to watch all four kids while we went to dinner.  We went to Branded Burger in Red Oak and it was delicious.  We actually ate at the location in Midlothian a few months ago but Erica mentioned that the Red Oak location has fried pickles.

We also decided to order the fried jalapenos.  Both were delicious!  We had such a great time together.  We were laughing so hard we probably disturbed those around us.  We are planning to make this a monthly thing.

3. While we were at dinner a bad storm rolled in with heavy rain.  When it slowed down we went back to get the kids.  We saw one of the prettiest rainbows I have ever seen.  It was so big I couldn't get it in one picture.

4. Tuesday evening I made cookies for the teachers at day-care.  I went simple with break and bake cookies. Hence the squares in the sugar cookies, but they taste delicious.

It wasn't until Kyle asked if he could have one that I realized I left a batch still in the oven.  They needed another minute and I forgot! I told Cooper they were burnt and he said 'Hurry throw water on them!' Ha!

So the burnt cookies went into the trash so there weren't that many chocolate chip ones.  Sorry teachers!

5. Wednesday evening I got my hair colored and cut by Jen.  It had been more than 3 months and was long overdue.  My gray is multiplying quickly now that I am 30!

6. Yesterday evening we came home to see a smoldering pile of brush!  We had burned two piles and our neighbor had a pile on our lot (we did him a favor).  Our neighbor took care of his pile yesterday so we came home to a better view.  Next step is getting a tractor out there to level the backyard some. Then we will look into some trees and things.

7. I can't believe I did an entire Friday Favorites post without any pictures of my boys.  Wow this is going to be a disappointing post for the grandparents!
