Friday Favs/Randoms

This is both my favs and randoms post for the week!

I saw this picture on an old blog post this week and it cracked me up...The pictures have been altered to match but I thought it was too funny!

I came across a link for Milkmakers Lactation cookies when reading a blog post.  I have never heard of these before but they are supposed to help with your milk supply when breastfeeding.  I haven't taken the time to read reviews and see if they really work, but I plan to.  Has anyone tried these before?

I LOVE this scent from Bath and Body Works!  It is called Eucalyptus Mint and it is amazing.  It smells like a mix of aromatherapy and men's cologne.  It is currently in my bathroom at home and I love it!

Today I made some cookies for my coworkers. A lady that I don't know very well made what I think was a rude comment.

Lady: Oh, you made cookies!
Me: Yes, a little treat.
Lady: Must be nice to have a lot of time on your hands.
Other coworker: She doesn't have a lot of time.  She has a toddler!
Lady:  Well she must have a lot of help.

??????WHAT???? Weird!! Can't you just say 'that was nice of you' or 'thank you'  If you listen to Kidd Kraddick in the morning I immediately thought of It Must Be Nice Guy!!

A girl I have known since I was like 8 and did gymnastics with has a blog and she is very crafty.  She made these adorable painted mason jars and I love them!  They just scream spring!!

Again when reading old blog posts I came across this adorable blessing tree! LOVE!!

I did a quick search on monkey stuffed animals and most of the ones I saw that are huge I don't like.  They look like apes or gorillas.  I want something cute and friendly like this, but large!!

I have seen so many people with the Pottery Bark Kids chairs.  I have been considering getting one for Cooper since he was 6 months old and didn't.  I saw on this post that there are two different sizes! I think my boys need these chairs!!  It seems that kids are using the larger size all the way until 5 or 6 years old so I think Cooper would still get good use out of it.  Plus they have slipcovers so once Casen is ready for it I will just order a new one for Cooper's chair.  I am thinking 2nd birthday present!

I am horrible at taking belly shots this go round so I finally asked Kyle to take one this week.  The lighting sucks but it will have to do. Click here to see my at 32 weeks with Cooper.

I saw a recipe for oreo cake balls that I might have to try.  There is a bake sale next week at work so I might make them for that...or I might just make an easy cake...depends how busy my weekend is.

Cooper enjoys playing with an old deck of cards at home.  One night Kyle showed Cooper how to hold the cards for a game of canasta.  My Granny and Ma would be so proud!

Remember this post about being THAT mom?  Well Cooper is in for it because he has THAT dad too.  We are both pretty cautious and protective of Cooper.  I was reminded of this when last weekend Grandpa found a feather for Cooper.  Kyle quickly nixed that because it is dirty and can have mites!  I didn't think it was too big of a deal, but I have heard that bird feathers are very dirty and can carry diseases...of course I am still here and probably picked up many bird feathers in my day!

The good thing is that even though we are overprotective we agree and compliment each other and hopefully it all works out.  Of course our kid could look like the nerdy kid from Little Giants wrapped in bubble wrap when playing his first football game! I really hope Cooper skips football and just enjoys baseball!

Kyle is in charge of cutting Cooper's nails.  This used to be a challenge but lately Cooper just sits there and lets daddy get to work.  He is so sweet and really watches what Daddy is doing.

Sorry for the long post but I had a lot to share! Happy Friday!!

Easter at Grandad's

The day before Easter we went to my Grandad's house to celebrate with all of my aunts and cousins.  I am one of 16 grandchildren and we already have 9 great-grandchildren with more on the way. There were a total of 11 kids to Easter egg-hunt (only missing Annelise in Korea). My Aunt Carla's kiddos are young so they are what makes up the additional 3 for egg hunting.

All of the kids get along great and loved playing together. These pictures make my heart melt because I have such amazing memories playing with all of my cousins and I love that Cooper and Casen will get to do the same.  These get togethers can be crazy and loud but I am so glad we do it and I hope we continue it for a long time!

Cooper was obsessed with the four wheelers and we couldn't keep him off of them.

I love this picture I caught of Cooper!  I plan to go to the park very soon with him and have a little photo shoot with my nice camera.

He thinks he knows exactly what to do...I think he remembers what Grandpa taught him at the cabin a year ago!

Daddy showing him on the little one (that doesn't run)

My gorgeous niece MacKenzie.  I LOVE this picture!

Cheesing it up! I love her cheesy smile!

This expression makes me laugh because this is what Cooper does a lot.

The three pregos looking like Easter eggs!

Frustrated with the bubbles

The egg hunters!

Not bad for having 11 kids in the picture!

My goofy brother in law...now I know where my niece gets her smile! Ha!

Love those blue eyes!

Cooper did well at the hunt but he preferred to get the loose candy and wanted it opened then.  We opened a piece and convinced him to keep hunting.  He only got 7 plastic eggs, but as long as he enjoyed it we didn't care.  He brought home 11 Reese's eggs which made mommy and daddy happy : )

After dinner we got the surprise that my cousin Savannah is also expecting a baby! See her recap here.
Savannah (October 24th), Brianna (July 19th), Me (June 3rd), and Melisa (May 16th)

We are missing Angela (April 23rd but delivering April 15th) and Catherine (July 9th)

My sweet grandad wanted a picture with us pregos.  We probably should have made him change is shirt, but oh well.

I can't believe we will have 6 (at least) new great-grand kids at next year's Easter!

There were about 35 of us there total this year and we were missing about 15 people so things will definitely keep getting crazier, but it is so fun!

Monthly Stickers

I am going to order monthly stickers for Casen like I did for Cooper.

These were Cooper's..They went great with his nursery that had a western twist.

Love this picture of him!

And this one despite the orangish face!

So for Casen I like these and would love to know which ones you like! The first ones I just like and the rest are a monkey theme.

Okay to explain the monkey ones. Several weeks ago I randomly got the idea to do a monkey themed party for Casen's first birthday (yes, I know he isn't even here yet and it is crazy to think about him being 1!) I pictured brown, yellow and blue! Then I thought about how we displayed Cooper's monthly pictures and thought it would be cute if Cooper's stickers matched his theme.

#1  I love these muted colors and different designs.  Just seems different and cute. Kinda have a denim, western feel.
#2 LOVE these colors and thought the elephant is cute. Each sticker in this set is different and there are a total of 3 elephant ones. These are definitely modern looking.

#3 I think this monkey is cute and most of the colors match the theme.

#4 Sweet and simple, but these you have to print yourself. Yuck!
#5 The colors go great with the nursery bedding and design.

#6 This one is super simple in fact each is the exact same.  They are cute and brown (goes with theme), but not sure that I want each one the exact same...I think I already talked myself out of these.

#7 Simple, cute, and various blues.

Anyone notice that #3, 4, and 5 have the same monkeys just different placement and colors?  Funny thing is they are sold by different people but apparently use the same clip art sources!

On a similar note...do y'all remember Cooper bear?  Well here is a picture to refresh your memory!

I want a stuffed animal for Casen to pose with, but I just don't think it makes sense for him to pose with Cooper bear.  I feel like he needs a stuffed animal of his own.  So then that brings me to the next topic of...

What should Casen pose with? A bear? Different animal?  Any ideas where to get a large stuffed animal like this that isn't priced outrageous?

I was actually considering a monkey (a cute one) again with the potential theme, but not sure.

What do you think?

I would love your input on the stickers and the stuffed animal!

Easter at day-care

I finally got on my computer at home last night and uploaded the pictures from my nice camera.  So here are the pictures from Cooper's egg hunt...after the hunt that I missed (see this post)

My boy cheesing it up!

With his BFF Aiden.

The whole class and not a single one looking at the cameras!

Showing me his dinosaur egg

Sweet Aiden!

Wishing he could go for round 2 with the big kids.

This is what I get when I say 'Say cheese!'

Taking a picture of mommy : )

Wow this horrible angle gives me major pregnant face! Yuck!
