My Funny Little Guy

Since this week is Spring Break for school aged kids Cooper's day-care has fun things planned each day.  And each day is a theme.

Yesterday was Wacky Beach Wear Day but unfortunately it was in the 40s when we left the house so we couldn't get too wacky.
This is what happened when I wanted to take Cooper's picture in his beach shirt from Uncle David and Aunt Jen Jen.

I squatted down to take the picture so he did too.

His little expression cracks me up! It is almost sarcastic!

Then I asked him to stand up.

I wiggled my finger in front of the camera to get him to look at me and this is what I got...

Today is super hero or princess day and I had my mom/granny make a cape for him.  He doesn't normally like things around his neck or hoods so I decided to put it on him yesterday evening.  He actually loved it because we went over to the mirror and saw what he looked like.

My little hero

He ran around the living room and it looked like he was trying to fly!

I also found a cute superman shirt at Old Navy that had a Velcro cape when shopping with my mom and sister this weekend.

Cooper's cough was bothering him this morning so he was kinda grumpy and not wanting to take pictures.

This is the best I got! And of course he wanted nothing to do with his big cape.  But I left it at day-care and will try to get some pictures tonight!

Later this week we have western wear day, wear your favorite color, and pajama day!

28 weeks!

How Far Along: 28 weeks or 70%!!  83 days until Casen's due date!

Size of baby: Casen is the size of a head of cauliflower (16 inches and 2.5 lbs) He can blink, cough, more intense sucking and continues to improve his breathing skills.

Total Weight Gain/Loss: 15.0 even this morning. So no loss or gain this week.

Maternity Clothes: Yes

Gender: Sweet boy Casen Andrew!

Movement: My boy bounces around a lot just like his brother. Sometimes it is uncomfortable but for the most part it is just reassuring that he is thriving in there.

Sleep: Not sleeping as well anymore.  I now consistently get up once a night to pee.

Cravings: I have craved Italian and pizza a lot.  I have been eating veggies with ranch dip a lot for snacks at work. Yesterday Blue Bell was on sale so I got a new flavor Mint Cookies and Cream! Delicious! It is a combination of Cookies and Cream and Mint Chocolate Chip!  I only at a 1/3 of it and am looking forward to more tonight!

Symptoms: Still some BHs. Sometimes my back hurts at the end of the day, but just here and there.  For about 4 days last week I dealt with pain and tingling in my right hand/arm.  I thought it was pregnancy carpal tunnel based on what others have told me.  Luckily I haven't dealt with it since Saturday evening so maybe that is gone or it was something else.  Also dealing with sinus/allergy stuff the past two days.

Best Moment this week: Today I had my 28 week checkup.  Casen's heartrate was 159 and was very active. I am measuring 28.5 weeks.  Last appt 4 weeks ago I measured 28 weeks and was only 24 weeks along.  If I had continued to measure big they were going to schedule a sonogram but since things evened out I am not getting one.  I must say I am bummed about not seeing Casen, but glad that I am not measuring big anymore (even though I feel HUGE).  I had to do the one hour glucose test and this time it was fruit punch flavored instead of orange.  It wasn't too bad but I was hungry and ready to be done.

I am very tired this morning and I am going to blame it on not sleeping well and the time change.

Hardest Moment this week: Can't think of anything right now.

Next Appointment: March 25th (appointments every 2 weeks now!)

I am looking forward to the nicer weather this week!

Don't forget to visit my blog post from Thursday to win a cute personalized clutch! And spread the word!

Applique shirts and a fun giveaway!!

I love custom appliqued shirts.  I would do them for every holiday if I could afford it!  I think they are adorable and can't get enough of them.

I get all of my shirts done by Laura at Annie Mancuso Designs.  She is wonderful to work with and her product is great quality! She is not compensating me in any way for this post.  I just love to support local businesses and I think she is great! (though we have actually never met!)

This is the one that I had done for Cooper for Valentine's day.  I prefer a colored shirt because my boy is a wild eater and I don't do laundry every day so I worry about stains!  I also chose to leave off Cooper's name because I knew we were having another boy and would like for Casen to get to use it too!

Sporting his cute shirt!

I decided for my sisters and their girls I would have them custom shirts made. For Angela's girls I decided on an airplane since her husband is in the Air Force.  However, I decided not to put names on them because she didn't have a name picked out for baby girl #2 (now to be named Catelyn Michelle) plus she can hand these down to friends if she would like.  And Catelyn can wear Annelise's when she gets older.

Anyway this is the sweet design I we came up with! I can't wait until Catelyn gets here so I can see her girls in these matching shirts!

For Melisa's girls she already had the name picked out and I let her choose from a couple of cute designs that I had already seen done. Melisa decided on this adorable design for her girls! Once again I can't wait to see MacKenzie and Tinsley wear them!

Now I am getting ready to design Cooper's and Casen's shirts and I am leaning towards the two designs below.  Not sure if the colors will be the same or not.  And I might try to find a colored shirt or I might actually do it on white.  I will share my design with you once I have it done.

I am also looking at this adorable design for a certain little boy's 2nd birthday party! Can you guess the theme?

She designed this one for Cooper 1st birthday party!

And this was Cooper's Thanksgiving shirt!

What do you think of applique? Do you love it as much as I do? I seriously wish I could do it myself, but then my kids would walk around in personalized and monogrammed everything!!!

Now to the giveaway!!!

Along with shirts, onesies, towels, blankets, bibs, and so much more, Laura also monograms bags!

She has these adorable embroidered totes/purses on her site that I love!

Then she has these adorable little clutch wallets!! I am IN LOVE with this one because turquoise and pink were my wedding colors!!  So cute!

I also love this yellow on green combination!

One lucky winner will be chosen on Friday March 15th to win one of the cute monogrammed clutches.  You get to choose which color clutch, style of font, and color of font you want from the picture below!

Our Monday!

We had a fun Monday at our house and I wanted to share the pictures!

That morning I tried to capture a picture to send to family since with was Cooper's 20 month birthday!

He was a busy body and his hat gave him wild hair!

The weather was gorgeous so we decided to go for a stroller ride which Cooper insisted was a 'walk'.  He and daddy were ready and waiting when I got home and he kept saying 'walk, go walk.

'I went to get him water out of the fridge and he saw a pickle and insisted on a pickle for his snack.  I was thinking pretzels but whatever!

Loaded up with his pickle and ready to go! I also took pretzels and he ate those too!  We loved the walk.  Cooper is very observant and points on so many fun things!

When we got home he wasn't ready to be inside so we went to the backyard to play.  We threw the ball for dogs and then I decided to clean up after the dogs.  Cooper thought it was so funny as I chunked the poo over the fence. (Don't judge- we have a green belt behind us with nothing and our dogs are small.  I figure it is fertilization!)

Unfortunately he couldn't get it with the scoop and kept wanting to use his hands to help! GAG! So that task was over and I distracted him with something else.

Bubbles!!! At first I was blowing bubbles but I quickly realized that he knew how to do it and wanted to.  I couldn't believe how good he was at blowing bubbles!

It was a wonderful evening as a family.  Unfortunately the weather cooled off again the next day, but I am looking forward to lots of spring evenings outside!

I also took some quick belly pics to add to my 27 week post but thought I would share here as well. Yes, I am huge!

Here comes the bride part 2

Remember this post where I announced that Cooper will be in a wedding this August? Well that night we decided to do some practicing and I am just now getting around to sharing the pictures.

Please excuse the lack of pants on.  He had a dirty diaper and it was almost bath time so we let him run around without pants.

He thought it was so funny and laughed the entire time (and ran some which we will have to work on!)

He kept watching my feet and as I did 'step, together, step, together'

Don't you just love how the dogs have to be right there figuring out what in the world we are doing?  And don't you love that cute little diaper butt even more!?!

He was so proud of himself!

Until he got overzealous and tripped, threw a fit, and then Ranger came to check on him!

Just for the record we haven't practiced since that night!

27 Weeks

How Far Along: 27 Weeks and officially in my 3rd trimester!!

Size of baby: Casen is the size of a cucumber (15 inches and 2.2 lbs)  He can now taste a difference between the different things I eat.
Total Weight Gain/Loss: 15.2 lbs
Maternity Clothes: Yes

Gender: Sweet boy Casen Andrew!

Movement: Still very active
Sleep: This past week I did not sleep well.  A lot of tossing and turning and just not great.
Cravings: I have been craving dill potato salad that comes from a company that caters to work.  Their closest location is Weatherford so I haven't been able to fulfill that craving.  I have enjoyed lots of spicy food this week and craved Italian from a local place on Friday. I have also craved a monster cookie from Corner Bakery, but haven't fulfilled that one.  I was pretty good last week about not eating out at lunch and going crazy, but I will probably make up for it this week.
Symptoms: BHs and on Saturday after dinner they were uncomfortable.  Casen was moving a lot, I ate too much, and I had like 5 BHs.  They went away after a while and I went to bed.  Due to not sleeping well at night I feel like I have been going to be early.
Best Moment this week: I found a really cute idea for Casen's newborn pictures that include Cooper.  I am keeping it a secret for now, but am so excited!!
Hardest Moment this week: Work was busy and we were busy with house stuff, but nothing crazy with the pregnancy.

My next doctor appointment is on the 11th.

Today is going to be a gorgeous day so I plan to go on a walk during lunch (to get my lunch) and also take Cooper for a stroller ride this evening.

Friday Favs/Randoms

1. Last Friday when I took the day off I went to Kohl's and found some cute summer things for Cooper.  I love how all 3 of these shirts go with the short and then could also be paired with khaki or denim shorts.

2. I also found these matching shirts for Cooper and Casen

3. I saw these adorable bunny rolls on Facebook and might attempt this for Easter.

4. I made these easy muffins this weekend and LOVE them.  I have actually made these since I was in middle school but hadn't bought it in a while.  They are super easy and delicious!

5. Someone shared this on Facebook this week and it was exactly what I needed to read! I think I need to print it and carry it with me!

6. This week I took Cooper back to the ENT to check on the tube in his right ear.  Sure enough it was partially blocked so he is back on an antibiotic and ear drops.  He told us what to do with the ear drops to help open the tube.  Sure enough the next day day-care called to say that his right ear was draining.  When we saw it that night it was obvious that it wasn't just the clear medicine.  We are hopeful that they did the trick and relieved the pressure.  We go back to the ENT in a month to see if it is opened up.

7. Our house is officially on the market and it is both exciting and scary.  Because I don't stay at home it is important that our house is always clean when we leave in case someone requests a showing while we are at work.  It is kinda a hassle each night and morning to make sure things are straightened up, but honestly Kyle and I LOVE having a clean house.  I tend to be a clutter bug and this is awesome. I hope that after being in this habit for a couple of weeks it will be easier and something we carry with us when we move.

8. I recently started reading the blog that is written by Shay Lowe which is the sister of Sean Lowe on The Bachelor.  She has a really cute blog and shared these pictures of her kiddos.  I think they are gorgeous! I love that the pictures of her little boy are simple and nothing fancy but absolutely adorable!  Keeping this in mind for future pictures of Cooper.

9. Ranger and Riley normally stay in our bedroom/bathroom but due to the showings we are keeping them in our guest bathroom.  It is little but we needed to pick a space that we could close off and not feel bad that the potential buyers couldn't go in there.  This way they can still see the bathroom from the hallway but don't have to chase our dogs around.  I hope Riley doesn't bark and whine too much while people are there.

10. Yesterday's devotion was so great that I need to share a portion with you again.  "STOP JUDGING AND EVALUATING YOURSELF, for this is not your role.  This produces feelings of pride or inferiority; sometimes a mixture of both. I lead each of My children along a path that is uniquely tailor-made for him or her. Comparing is not only wrong; it is also meaningless."

Happy Friday!
