She is here!!

My new niece finally made her appearance!!!!

MacKenzie Marie
June 14, 2011 8:33 PM
7lbs 8oz 20 inches long

This is the only picture I have so far, but I think it is adorable.  She is just perfect and gorgeous.  I got to hold her twice last night and it just wasn't enough.  I plan to go see her today at lunch since the hospital is only 10 minutes away.

Melisa was amazing during the delivery (so I have been told) and she handled everything like a champ.  Trent was a true proud daddy and just glowing afterwards.  I am so excited for these two!!  I still can't believe my baby sister now has a baby!!

I seriously am on cloud nine.  I just want to go up there and hangout with them, but I won't (for now).  This also gets me really excited that our time with Cooper is approaching quickly.  I can't wait for him to get here and put a face to the name.

I have my 36 week checkup today at 12:40 and I really hope there is progress.  I don't expect there to be progress but I would be thrilled.  I am ready for Cooper as soon as he is ready!!

Maybe we should go ahead and put his bassinet together this weekend and pack our hospital bags : )

Weekend Recap

Friday evening Kyle and I enjoyed eating at Chili's.  We shared the molten chocolate cake that was DELICIOUS! Afterwards we just relaxed at home.

Saturday Kyle worked overtime and I ran errands.  I feel like all I do lately is run errands.  I went to Hobby Lobby and returned some things that I didn't need, went to the post office to buy stamps (it was closed), and went to the bank.  Then I convinced Melisa to meet me for lunch at Rosa's where we both had the delicious taco plate.

Melisa and I both LOVE Rosa's especially on Taco Tuesdays with their taco plate special.  We tried to make it a weekly thing a while back, but our stubborn boys didn't like it that much and we didn't go back.  Now Kyle wants to eat their at least once a week so maybe I will try to bring back Taco Tuesdays.

Saturday evening I went to a wedding on the other side of Dallas. I got to spend time with my mom, dad, two aunts, and my 3 littlest cousins. I had so much fun hanging out with them, talking with my aunts, and the food was delicious!!

 Carleigh

Quinn and Carsyn is in the background (she wasn't in the picture taking mood so this is the only one I got of her)

Carleigh however loved taking pictures so we had a little photo shoot!

Kyle stayed home and worked on his stuff for the deer lease and watched a movie (when I got home he was eating Rosa's!)

Sunday morning Kyle, Melisa, and I went to church and then went to Ennis to celebrate Father's Day with my dad's side of the family.  We had ribs, sausage, corn, green stuff, baked beans (I skipped) and fresh veggies from my grandparents garden.  The food was DELICIOUS!!  I seriously wanted to eat more but I just couldn't.

I also had a piece of my Granny's homemade chocolate cake (which I make often and is a favorite of my coworkers!).  I even took a couple of pieces to go.  We also had a good time playing games and just hanging out.

Our weekend was very nice, but also busy.  I have a tendency to fill my weekend with things when I don't have stuff planned so we always have something.  Being busy keeps life exciting though and I know once Cooper is here we will have to slow down some for a while.

PS- we are still waiting for our niece Mackenzie's arrival, but hopefully it will be soon : )

36 weeks and counting down!

How Far Along: 36 weeks! 90% through and about 28 days to go!!

Size of baby: Cooper should be about 6lbs about the size of a crenshaw melon. He should be about 18 1/2 inches now and just waiting for his debut.

Total Weight Gain/Loss: 34 lbs. 5lbs this week!!  I feel huge so I am not really shocked, however 5 lbs sounds like way too much and I am not sure what is going on.  It is possible that it is water retention, but I am also wondering if it is something else because I am having other issues.

Maternity Clothes: Blah

Gender: Boy!

Movement: This little guy still move lots!

Sleep: I get up to pee more now and of course my sleep isn't great, but I am getting used to it.
What I miss: my clothes

Cravings: I am drinking a lot more water. Frozen waffles. Sweets as usual.

Symptoms: My feet swelling is out of control.  It is full blown when I wake up and doesn't get any better.  I have been having pains in my right ankle for the past 5 days and I don't know what it is from.  Last Thursday my tail bone started hurting and it hasn't stopped since.  It is getting a little worse each day and I think it is because Cooper is sitting on something.  I can't sit straight up and down from the pressure so I lean to one side (even when driving this morning) and it hurts the most when I am getting up and down from sitting.  My left hand went numb for the first time last night, but when I woke up this morning it was gone so that is good.

Yes I know I sound whiny, but the pain in my tail bone is pretty bad.  I have considered calling the doctor, but there probably isn't anything she can do.  I am not taking any tylenol or anything, but I am probably going to have to start if the doctor says it is okay.  I can't imagine dealing with this pain for the next 4 weeks.  So I would be more than happy if Cooper would come as soon as he is ready.

Best Moment this week: Nothing too exciting this past week except the doctor's appointment that went well.  We enjoyed the Baby Basics class we attended and now are just eagerly waiting his arrival.

Worst Moment this week: All of the symptoms above!!!!!

Other news: We are still waiting on the arrival of our new niece MacKenzie.  She was due this past Saturday, but so far she hasn't made her debut.

I am looking forward to my doctor's appointment on Wednesday and a phone call from Melisa to head to the hospital.

TGIF Randoms

This is just going to be a random post about things I was thinking about as I drove to work.

  • I am not drinking enough water and my swelling is out of control.  I know I also eat too many salty foods, but I am not good at changing my eating habits so my goal is to drink 40 oz of water minimum today.  I believe this is still below the suggested amount but it is more than what I normally drink so hopefully it will help.
  • This morning I was unable to put my ring on due to swelling.  This is a first.  I feel naked with out my rings.
  • I have also resorted to wearing flip flops every day to work due to the swelling.  No one has said anything so I guess it is fine.
  • Work trucks in front of me on the road scare me.  They are full of stuff that looks like it might fall off at any moment.  And the ones with a stack of stuff piled up and then tied down, I know I should probably know something about gravity or physics, but how do those pipes in the middle not fly out and hit my car like a dagger? I am sure my mom (a former physics teacher) would love to explain this to me.  Love her!
  • I want to go to Six Flags and ride roller coasters SO BAD!!! I have been wanting to since the state fair last September and then I got pregnant.  I fully intend at going some point this fall when it is cooler.
  • I LOVE donuts!!  I have loved them since I was little and since finding Ann's Donuts by our house when we moved I have rediscovered my love.  I try to be good and not go there, but I went yesterday and today.  I look forward to Cooper being big enough to get him a bag of donut holes and we sit and eat our donuts together.  (Healthy moms would give their kid a bag of grapes or cheerios, but seriously donuts are so much better!)
  • I am feeling pretty stressed and overwhelmed at work right now with all of the stuff I need to get done before maternity leave.  My list seems to be getting longer and I am not moving down the list very quickly.
  • There is a new Ford commercial that talks about hating your old cars and getting a new one.  The catchy line is when they sing "Every day I love you less and less."  I love this commercial.  Every time I hear it I can't help but sing it and then it gets stuck in my head.  Kyle and I sing it at least 10 times every evening lately.
  • Have I told you that I love Kyle? We can be completely stupid together and we don't think we are stupid.  Well we know we are stupid we just don't care.
  • Kyle wants another dog eventually (or really even now because he doesn't think we have enough on our plate!) and he loves to think of names for "his" dog.  I warned him that now that Cooper is here the next dog will probably be Cooper's choice, but I have a feeling they are going to be two peas in a pod and they will have no problem agreeing on a dog.  Kyle used to want a scraggly dog named Hobo.  Recently he has decided that he might name "his" dog "Henry" or "Dog."  Yes, my husband wants to name the dog "Dog."  As I said before I have no doubt that he and Cooper will get along great when it comes to picking out a dog and naming a dog : )
  • My new niece is still not here and we are all waiting on pins and needles for the phone call to head to the hospital.  She already runs the show around here and she isn't even here yet!
  • I LOVE that today is Friday.  I hope it goes by quickly!

Baby basic, dr appt, tired

Tuesday night Kyle and I attended a baby basic class at the hospital.  It was 2 1/2 hours and I thought it was a pretty good class.  I knew most of what they said, but it was nice to freshen up on things and have confirmation that what I know is right.  I think it was a good class for Kyle as well because he got to change a diaper, swaddle a baby, learn quick baby CPR, and much more.

It was weird because at the beginning of class the teach looked at us and another couple and asked if we are related and we said no.  Come to find out our husbands had the EXACT same names.  They knew of us because they saw our baby registries and people were getting confused (we didn't know about them).  Then they came to talk to us and come to find out they both work for the same company and get each other's emails sometimes.  Their middle initial is different, but they are about the same age and we are expecting baby boys only 3 days apart.VERY WEIRD!  Of course when I told my mom she got excited hoping that they were having a girl and our kids could get married one day and both of them would have Cline's as in-laws.  No luck unless one of us has a girl next and they meet down the road.

We really enjoyed the class, but when she talked about CPR Kyle said "I don't like this game anymore."  It was just a reminder of the fact that we are in charge of this little life and Cooper's safety and health.  I am sure he will do a great job!

Here is our baby and supplies for the class.  Somehow I chose the baby that was huge and seemed like a 2 year old in my arms!!

Here is Kyle reading up on the material before class started.

Yesterday was my 35 week doctor appointment.  Everything went perfect.  My blood pressure is fine and Cooper's heartbeat was 163.  A little higher than normal but we was very active at the time.  She diagnosed me with an antibiotic for the small rash I have developed on my face due to pregnancy hormones.  She checked for progress and said there is none for now.  I then had blood drawn for a couple of tests.  I go back in a week.

Now it is time for Honesty Hour ( I made that up and I don't plan to go on for an hour).

My name is Dianna and I am tired of being pregnant.  I am so anxious for Cooper's arrival.  Each morning it is harder and harder to get out of bed and go to work.  I know I still have time and Cooper needs to cook a little longer, but I am also ready to have him here with us.

I also want my body back.  I am tired of my maternity clothes, of getting up to pee in the night, of getting charlie horses (I got 2 Tuesday night that made me gimpy on Wednesday), of my feet swelling and looking horrible, and of straining to get in and out of bed.

I hated the beginning of my pregnancy because I was sick, but up until about 10 days ago I have really enjoyed the rest of my pregnancy.  Now I am just over it and ready to be done.  I know Cooper will read this one day and I will feel bad for saying it, but I am just being honest.

32 days until our due date!!!

2 days until MacKenzie's due date!!  I can't wait to hear how Melisa's appointment goes today!

Weekend Recap

Friday after work I was exhausted and took a nap.  Then Kyle and I went to pick up some quick dinner but we were craving different things.  We picked up Rosa's for him and Wing Stop for me.  This was my first time to have Wing Stop and I loved their chicken tenders and mild sauce!!  The fries are eh because they put seasoned salt or something on them that makes them kinda sweet, but I loved my chicken.  I will be going back for wings in the future.  I just watched the Rangers beat the Indians and went to sleep early.

Saturday Kyle worked overtime and I ran errands.  I went to Hobby Lobby and picked up some things that were on sale.  I got dried stems for my entry vase, denim and paisley material for some things for Cooper, and a brown frame that I think will be perfect for my button 'C' project.  I decided the one I had before wasn't what I wanted so I think this one is just right.

I then went to Target and bought some new pjs for the hospital, some nursing tanks, some shorts and pants for Cooper's coming home outfit, some adorable booties/socks for Cooper's coming home outfit, and several plastic containers and baskets to help me organize Cooper's room.  I spent a lot of money but thanks to gift cards I had it covered.

After Target I met Melisa for some yummy Chickfila and then headed home to organize.  Kyle got home a little after 4 and we rushed out the door to head to Saturday night dinner with Kyle's family.  After dinner we watched the Ranger game and played a couple of games.

Sunday I went to church and headed out for more errands.  I went to BRU and returned about 7 things that I bought a couple of weeks without coupons.  I bought all of the items back and used my coupons.  I ended up saving $46 with all of my coupons!

Then I checked out a new store that opened called Buy Buy Baby.  It is owned by the same people as Bed Bath and Beyond.  I found Cooper's Baptism outfit and used a coupon.  I decided on going with this simple outfit (which is not cheap) instead of some of those others I shared a while back.  I do not plan on having him wear the hat!!

I also found these Pee-pee Teepees.  I have heard about them and looked for them at BRU and didn't see them.  Hopefully this will help Kyle and I have less accidents when changing diapers!  They are cloth so you just throw them in the wash and reuse them.
I ran a couple more errands and stopped by in-laws to drop some things off and visit.

Kyle spent the morning cleaning out the garage and bringing the jeep back.  The jeep now runs after having some work done so hopefully Kyle will tinker with it some more and then get the chance to take it out for a drive or two.

The rest of our afternoon evening was spent doing things around the house, going to the grocery store, making homemade queso (I had been craving it for 2 days) and watching the Mavericks play.

Time flies when you are having fun!

This past weekend marked 5 years since Kyle found me on myspace.  On June 4th 2006 he sent me a simple message that said "hi."  I never responded to message on there because they were usually creepy guys or inappropriate pictures.  For some reason that day I opened the message, thought he was cute, and decided to respond.  Some may call it fate, but I like to think that God had a hand in bringing us together.

We were meant to be from the beginning.  I still get butterflies when I think about our story.

I remember getting on myspace constantly to check and see if he sent me a message.  He wasn't able to get on much because he didn't have a computer at his apartment.  He only got on when he went to his parents which probably increased once we started talking.  I remember him asking for my phone number so we could talk instead of just message back and forth.  I remember him asking to go on a date.  I remember everything about our first date.  I remember him walking up and thinking he was even cuter than his picture.  I remember what he ate for dinner.  I remember him spitting out a mint on the ground because he thought it was awful.  I remember going bowling and him ordering a beer that came out in a bowling pin shaped bottle and was weird.  I remember not wanting that date to end.

I remember talking to my sister Melisa on the phone about my date.  I remember saying "I would be perfectly happy if this was my last 'first date.'  And I am thrilled that it was.

I love this man!  I can't believe now 5 years later we are waiting to become parents to our first baby!!

This is our first picture 4th of July weekend 2006.

Yesterday was Kyle's parents' 30th wedding anniversary!  We are so proud of them and their relationship.  They set such a great example of a wonderful, healthy marriage.  We took them to dinner last night at one of our favorite Mexican food places that was delicious.  We had a nice time.

Congratulations Larry and Susan!!

Here I am finally getting around to sharing belly pics.  I have been bad about these lately.  I wanted to share a couple different pics so you can see how much I have changed.

8 weeks

    18 weeks

25 weeks

  35 weeks

Sorry that I am not facing the same direction.  I was not very consistent with this.  Also I hate what I am wearing in the 35 week picture, but I wanted to wear this since this is what I wore in the beginning pictures.  Plus it is a little close I think I look bigger than in person, but maybe I am just trying to make myself feel better.  I can't believe the difference from 8 weeks to 35!!  I hope I get back to being that small after Cooper gets here!

I definitely think I am at the point where I look full term.  Of course I still have 5 weeks to go so there is time for more damage : )
