Two weeks ago!

The weekend of March 9th my mom came up and stayed the night with us.  The plan was for her to watch Cooper during our garage sale but due to bad weather the garage sale was postponed.  So instead Saturday morning we went shopping with Melisa and Mac.
They had to make sure the bunny ears fit.

Mac is great a giving a big smile for the camera. This was right before Cooper started saying cheese and working on his smile for the camera.

We went to the mall for some shopping and lunch.  The cow mascots were at Chickfila so I had to take a picture!

This picture was actually from the weekend before but I never shared (we met at chickfila for breakfast)

After we got home from the mall Cooper was so tired but couldn't sleep because he just wanted his Babi.  He finally took a nap in her arms while we watched Project Runway.

That Sunday we enjoyed cinnamon rolls and had a nice family day.

29 Weeks Along

How Far Along: 29 weeks along now and only 76 days until Casen's due date!

Size of baby: Casen is the size of a small cabbage (17 inches and 2.9 lbs)

Total Weight Gain/Loss: 17.5 lbs! Oops jumped up a bit this week! Maybe I shouldn't have made a batch of brownies last night.

Maternity Clothes: Yes

Gender: Sweet boy Casen Andrew!

Movement: I have a wonderful, active little boy!

Sleep: same as last week

Cravings: Chipotle, sweet tea, brownies, salad and baked potato from Spring Creek or Shady Oak (I LOVE THEIR JALAPENO RANCH!)

Symptoms: Lately just dealing with Braxton Hicks contractions.  I had at least 10 throughout the day yesterday.

Best Moment this week: I passed my glucose test so that is good! I think the best part of last week was the gorgeous weather because Cooper and I went on a couple of walks and spent time out in the backyard.  It is supposed to be cooler this week so not sure if we will get to go on any walks.

Hardest Moment this week: Just being tired.

Next Appointment: March 25th

2 Birthdays and a Cowboy

Today Riley Rue Cline is 4 years old! Honestly it feels like we have had her forever! She is so sweet and still has the energy of a puppy! She could play fetch all day long and never get tired. Cooper enjoys throwing the ball for her but she prefers mommy or daddy throw it because it goes further.  But his arm is getting better all of the time.

I love this picture of our sweet girl...she may or may not have packed on a few pounds since this picture was taken.  Happy Birthday Riley Rue!

March 13, 2011 was Baby C's due date.  I think about Baby C often and how different our lives would have been.  The truth is that we never would have had Cooper and our lives would be different.  I never wanted to go through a miscarriage and it was one of the hardest things in my life, but I have comfort knowing that God pulled us through it and has blessed us so much since then.  I will always think of and mourn the loss of that sweet life, but I feel so thankful for all that we have been given.

You can read my blog post from the last two years marking this day.

Check out the 2012 link to see what my little cowboy looked like this time last year! I can't believe how much he has grown and changed.  He just keeps getting cuter!

I captured these pictures this morning before heading to day-care for Western Wear day.

Saying 'cheese' to the camera!

Feeding his herd- They got two morning treats since it was Riley's birthday!

Ready to head out- I LOVE this picture even if it is a little blurry. His posture makes me think of my Papa Johnson and it just melts my heart!

Saying cheese again for the camera! He hasn't done this consistently before so I am glad that he has caught on.

Done with pictures and ready to eat his morning snack on the way to day-care.

I didn't send the hat to day-care because I knew he would want to wear it in the car and it gets all misshapen.  Then I knew it would be a fight to get it back at day-are and no way was I leaving this nice hat there!  But don't worry the ladies at day-care all still loved his boots and jeans and I quickly showed them these pictures on my phone!

I know I am his momma but he has got to be the cutest cowboy ever!!

My Funny Little Guy

Since this week is Spring Break for school aged kids Cooper's day-care has fun things planned each day.  And each day is a theme.

Yesterday was Wacky Beach Wear Day but unfortunately it was in the 40s when we left the house so we couldn't get too wacky.
This is what happened when I wanted to take Cooper's picture in his beach shirt from Uncle David and Aunt Jen Jen.

I squatted down to take the picture so he did too.

His little expression cracks me up! It is almost sarcastic!

Then I asked him to stand up.

I wiggled my finger in front of the camera to get him to look at me and this is what I got...

Today is super hero or princess day and I had my mom/granny make a cape for him.  He doesn't normally like things around his neck or hoods so I decided to put it on him yesterday evening.  He actually loved it because we went over to the mirror and saw what he looked like.

My little hero

He ran around the living room and it looked like he was trying to fly!

I also found a cute superman shirt at Old Navy that had a Velcro cape when shopping with my mom and sister this weekend.

Cooper's cough was bothering him this morning so he was kinda grumpy and not wanting to take pictures.

This is the best I got! And of course he wanted nothing to do with his big cape.  But I left it at day-care and will try to get some pictures tonight!

Later this week we have western wear day, wear your favorite color, and pajama day!

28 weeks!

How Far Along: 28 weeks or 70%!!  83 days until Casen's due date!

Size of baby: Casen is the size of a head of cauliflower (16 inches and 2.5 lbs) He can blink, cough, more intense sucking and continues to improve his breathing skills.

Total Weight Gain/Loss: 15.0 even this morning. So no loss or gain this week.

Maternity Clothes: Yes

Gender: Sweet boy Casen Andrew!

Movement: My boy bounces around a lot just like his brother. Sometimes it is uncomfortable but for the most part it is just reassuring that he is thriving in there.

Sleep: Not sleeping as well anymore.  I now consistently get up once a night to pee.

Cravings: I have craved Italian and pizza a lot.  I have been eating veggies with ranch dip a lot for snacks at work. Yesterday Blue Bell was on sale so I got a new flavor Mint Cookies and Cream! Delicious! It is a combination of Cookies and Cream and Mint Chocolate Chip!  I only at a 1/3 of it and am looking forward to more tonight!

Symptoms: Still some BHs. Sometimes my back hurts at the end of the day, but just here and there.  For about 4 days last week I dealt with pain and tingling in my right hand/arm.  I thought it was pregnancy carpal tunnel based on what others have told me.  Luckily I haven't dealt with it since Saturday evening so maybe that is gone or it was something else.  Also dealing with sinus/allergy stuff the past two days.

Best Moment this week: Today I had my 28 week checkup.  Casen's heartrate was 159 and was very active. I am measuring 28.5 weeks.  Last appt 4 weeks ago I measured 28 weeks and was only 24 weeks along.  If I had continued to measure big they were going to schedule a sonogram but since things evened out I am not getting one.  I must say I am bummed about not seeing Casen, but glad that I am not measuring big anymore (even though I feel HUGE).  I had to do the one hour glucose test and this time it was fruit punch flavored instead of orange.  It wasn't too bad but I was hungry and ready to be done.

I am very tired this morning and I am going to blame it on not sleeping well and the time change.

Hardest Moment this week: Can't think of anything right now.

Next Appointment: March 25th (appointments every 2 weeks now!)

I am looking forward to the nicer weather this week!

Applique shirts and a fun giveaway!!

I love custom appliqued shirts.  I would do them for every holiday if I could afford it!  I think they are adorable and can't get enough of them.

I get all of my shirts done by Laura at Annie Mancuso Designs.  She is wonderful to work with and her product is great quality! She is not compensating me in any way for this post.  I just love to support local businesses and I think she is great! (though we have actually never met!)

This is the one that I had done for Cooper for Valentine's day.  I prefer a colored shirt because my boy is a wild eater and I don't do laundry every day so I worry about stains!  I also chose to leave off Cooper's name because I knew we were having another boy and would like for Casen to get to use it too!

Sporting his cute shirt!

I decided for my sisters and their girls I would have them custom shirts made. For Angela's girls I decided on an airplane since her husband is in the Air Force.  However, I decided not to put names on them because she didn't have a name picked out for baby girl #2 (now to be named Catelyn Michelle) plus she can hand these down to friends if she would like.  And Catelyn can wear Annelise's when she gets older.

Anyway this is the sweet design I we came up with! I can't wait until Catelyn gets here so I can see her girls in these matching shirts!

For Melisa's girls she already had the name picked out and I let her choose from a couple of cute designs that I had already seen done. Melisa decided on this adorable design for her girls! Once again I can't wait to see MacKenzie and Tinsley wear them!

Now I am getting ready to design Cooper's and Casen's shirts and I am leaning towards the two designs below.  Not sure if the colors will be the same or not.  And I might try to find a colored shirt or I might actually do it on white.  I will share my design with you once I have it done.

I am also looking at this adorable design for a certain little boy's 2nd birthday party! Can you guess the theme?

She designed this one for Cooper 1st birthday party!

And this was Cooper's Thanksgiving shirt!

What do you think of applique? Do you love it as much as I do? I seriously wish I could do it myself, but then my kids would walk around in personalized and monogrammed everything!!!

Now to the giveaway!!!

Along with shirts, onesies, towels, blankets, bibs, and so much more, Laura also monograms bags!

She has these adorable embroidered totes/purses on her site that I love!

Then she has these adorable little clutch wallets!! I am IN LOVE with this one because turquoise and pink were my wedding colors!!  So cute!

I also love this yellow on green combination!

One lucky winner will be chosen on Friday March 15th to win one of the cute monogrammed clutches.  You get to choose which color clutch, style of font, and color of font you want from the picture below!
