22 weeks along

July 31st

How Far Along: 22 Weeks (55% done!)

Size of baby: spaghetti squash (8 inches long, 1lb)

Total Weight Gain/Loss: 7.5lbs Seriously! I gained 2.5lbs in one week! This is not good!

Maternity Clothes: Normal clothes with belly band and lots of dresses!

Gender: Baby Girl – Chloe Marie Cline

Movement: This girl is a mover and a shaker. Kyle and my sister Angela have also felt her move now. Sometimes it can be pretty uncomfortable but I love the reminder that she is growing and thriving.

Sleep: Still flip from side to side.

What I miss: sleeping on my stomach and back

Cravings: I made the Chicken Spaghetti and it was delicious. I ate it for two meals and froze individual containers to take for lunch. Made another batch of pasta salad last night. My granny made guacamole dip last week and sent the leftovers home with me…so good!! I made a delicious new cake recipe that was simple and different. I have eaten a slice every day since…So now I see where those 2.5 pounds came from!

Symptoms: I feel like I am doing good right now. Sometimes my back hurts by the end of the day and some random pains from stretching but I feel good. Just feeling pretty big already and I know what is to come so I know this isn’t big.

Best Moment this week: Spending time with my sister and her family. They got to see me pregnant, talk about the baby, they gifted us some cute things, and it is crazy knowing the next time they are here baby girl will be in our arms.

The other best moment was deciding her name is Chloe Marie Cline. It isn’t a great amazing story but it is how it happened- Kyle has been saying ‘so what is her name?’ here and there. Then Saturday he said it again and I said ‘I don’t know’ and he said ‘I think you do….’ I responded ‘do I?’ and he said ‘yeah I am good with it’….so that is how we made the decision….he is good with it J

I cleaned out the boys closets this weekend to evaluate the idea of combining them to one room. I am now thinking we might move the boys to Casen’s room because it has the biggest closet. Cooper’s closet setup isn’t great for all of their clothes since we won’t have a dresser in the room. But Casen has started sleeping with Cooper each night since he has the full bed. Kyle or I lay in there with them so they behave and we have a ways to go but I think that will be the plan.

I can't wait: To go through some bins from Melisa. She went into her attic and found some bins of clothes from the first year. Since we are in opposite season some stuff won’t work but she can us one bin of clothes, one box of bows and tutus, and two boxes of blankets and burp cloths. This makes me anxious to combine the boys so I have closet space to put things away for baby girl. Our house is feeling a bit chaotic right now.

Next dr appt is August 17th.

21 Weeks Along

Different days, outfits, and angles

July 24th

How Far Along: 21 Weeks (52.5% done!)

Size of baby: banana (7 inches long, 11 ounces)

Total Weight Gain/Loss: 5lbs

Maternity Clothes: Normal clothes with belly band and lots of dresses!

Gender: It’s a girl!! She doesn’t have a name yet so we call her baby girl or baby sister

Movement: So much movement now. In fact last night I saw my belly move so I had Coop come feel and sure enough he felt her! I have made Kyle try to feel her a few times but he is impatient so no luck yet. And Casen says he can feel her but I think he is just wishing it so bad.  He sure does love his baby sister. He rubs my tummy, gives it kisses and hugs, and love to come ‘check on her’

Sleep: Still flip from side to side.

What I miss: sleeping on my stomach and back

Cravings: Chicken Spaghetti (ingredients at home ready to be made), pasta salad (check), blue bell fudge bars (check), Mexican food and breakfast food. Carbs, carbs, carbs.

Symptoms: I am feeling good. Skin is breaking out, some Braxton Hicks but not as many lately, feeling our very active little girl. Other than that I feel great. Enjoying this before the waddling, swelling, and back pain set in.

Best Moment this week: Seeing our pretty little girl on that sonogram tv. She was just precious and I fell completely in love. I am now officially anxious to meet her. I can’t wait to see her again in about 2 months and see if she has any hair and is nice and chubby. And yes Kyle and I were glad they could confirm yes it was a girl.

I still have a strong desire to purge but also trying to decide if I want to hang on to some things in case Jen gets prego with a boy. I will be sad if I get rid of it and she could have used some of it.

I am going to start with the playroom and boys’ rooms before heading back to the attic. This will give me some time.

Thinking I will make a baby bedding decision soon. I am now leaning to fabric at Hobby Lobby.

Hardest Moment this week: Nothing really. This has been a good, easy week.

I can't wait: To decide on baby girl’s name. Kyle threw out a few names last week (Piper, River, Keira) but he didn’t love them just threw out some ideas. I didn’t love any of them. Honestly I think it will be Chloe and he likes the name just wants to consider other names too.

Next dr appt is August 17th.

Anatomy Sonogram

7/23/2018

We just got back from our anatomy sonogram and 21 week check up.  Baby girl is gorgeous!! She is already chubby, active, and has long legs. She has the sweetest little profile. Her heartrate was 142 again and she is about 11 oz which average is 9-12. She was a busy little girl during the sono putting her hands by her face, opening her mouth, kicking her legs, and just wiggling. She has the same marker on her heart that Casen had but it usually means nothing with no other markers present. So the doctor isn’t worried and knowing Casen was just fine makes me not worried either. The sono tech mentioned another sono at 36/37 weeks to check growth, position, and fluid levels. Then Dr Atkins mentioned possibly a sono at 28 weeks.

There was still a small amount of blood in my urine but less. Just need to drink lots of fluids and let them know if I have pain. I got back on Aug 17th for my next checkup which will be just shy of 25 weeks.

20 Weeks Along

July 17th

How Far Along: 20 Weeks (50% done!)

Size of baby: mango (6.5 inches long, 10 ounces)

Total Weight Gain/Loss: 4.5 lb I will blame it on the wedding festivities….but I don’t think that is it. Baby girl is large and in charge. The bump is there and obvious.

Maternity Clothes: Normal clothes with belly band and waiting on my Old Navy package that should arrive today. Lots of dresses!

Gender: It’s a girl!! She doesn’t have a name yet so we call her baby girl or baby sister

Movement: I think I am feeling more movement lately but I second guess myself a lot. I find myself worrying and very anxious to see her on the sonogram. I just need to see her and know she is okay.

Sleep: Still flip from side to side.

What I miss: sleeping on my stomach and back

Cravings: Mexican food and breakfast food. Those are my two cravings. I am hungriest in the morning and want yummy carbs like bagels, breakfast tacos, English muffins, waffles. And then I crave Mexican food specifically Rosa’s, Chipotle, and Tio Tony’s. Unfortunately our town has crummy fast food Mexican choices so if I don’t plan ahead to eat it at lunch or grab it on the way home then it is too bad.

Unfortunately I have no craving to cook. We have been having a lot of simple meals or picking up fast food. I am hoping that will get better now that we are done with 4 weeks of swim lessons that make our evenings short.

Symptoms: I am feeling good. Biggest thing right now is my skin breaking out constantly. I do not have the pregnant glow! I am feeling some Braxton Hicks already which worried me but I just read my 20 week post with Casen and mentioned the same thing so that makes me feel better.

Best Moment this week: I have started some shopping for baby girl. I LOVE holiday clothes and can’t wait to put a cute bow with some of the boys shirts and make them work. But I have also found some girly things. I have discovered some Facebook resale shops for smocking and this week purchased 3 outfits. A pumpkin outfit for next fall, a 3mth purple dress (TCU), and 3mth shamrock dress for St Patricks day which is a special holiday to our family because it is my Meme’s birthday. I know we have family that has also started shopping for her.

I do also have a strong urge to purge. I am anxious to cleanout our playroom (just because it needs it), closets, the boys closets, cabinets and more.  But I am also anxious to get in our attic and start purging baby boy stuff. I have decided I don’t want to officially give any away until after the sono in a week but then it will be time. I actually went through 3 boxes last week. I kept 5 things (some boy sleepers but if I add a bow maybe I can get pics of baby girl in them like her brothers, a holiday, shirt and a blanket). The rest was split between donate and give to Kyle’s cousin for her little boy that is a summer baby and can enjoy the same seasons/sizes as my boys (assuming he doesn’t outgrow my boys at this age).

The other thing I am brainstorming is baby bedding. I thought I decided on a set but now am considering a fabric at Hobby Lobby and having my granny make a few things I would like.

Hardest Moment this week: I received the lab results from last week and didn’t have a UTI and no pain since then so I am not really sure what is going on. This has still left with me some anxiety so I am anxious for my appointment in 6 sleeps.

I can't wait: to actually see baby girl on the 23rd and to pick out a name for her. Right now the front runner is Chloe. I also like Camden and Caroline (which has been nixed because of the sound of Caroline Cline). The middle name is definitely Marie.

Next dr appt is the anatomy sono July 23rd.

19 Weeks

The only pic I took this week was trying on the dress for Tyler and Katie's wedding to compare shoes. Notice the fireworks for the gender reveal/4th of July party?

July 10th

How Far Along: 19 Weeks (47.5% done!)

Size of baby: tomato (6 inches long, half a pound in weight) 6 inches is a giant tomato

Total Weight Gain/Loss: 3.0 lb

Maternity Clothes: Normal clothes with belly band. I ordered a pair of jeans and leggings from Old Navy.

Gender: It’s a girl!! I still can’t believe it. I can’t wait to see her on the 23rd at our anatomy sono.

Movement: Still just sporadic flutters

Sleep: Still flip from side to side.

What I miss: sleeping on my stomach and back

Cravings: Chipotle, Rosa’s, breakfast tacos, spicy food, blue bell fudge bars (they just released them again since the listeria issue years ago. I am so excited but haven’t made it into Walmart yet to grab some)

Kyle was awesome on Friday. I was craving Rosa’s but didn’t get it on the way home because I thought we were going to go out to eat. But the boys just wanted to stay and eat something at home. Well I might have suggested to Kyle that I really wanted Rosa’s and sure enough he went all the way to Mansfield and got me Rosa’s. Baby girl and I were so happy J

Symptoms: I am feeling good. Some stretching pains if I move to0 quickly, but this was a good week.  I have noticed I often times feel like I have tightness in my lower abdomen. It reminds me of Braxton hicks contractions. They aren’t painful in any way but I notice them. It is possibly a sign that I am not drinking enough water but I am not sure. I am considering calling my doctor’s office to mention it.

Best Moment this week: I am still on cloud nine from the gender reveal. I am shocked to think girl and have started looking for bedding. I also included some cute red white and blue outfits in my old navy order that were marked down. The day after the gender reveal Susan was shopping and sent me a pic of cute girl clothes, the next day my mom was shopping, and my sisters and Jen have started too. Baby girl will be spoiled and blessed.

Originally I had no desire to go through my boy clothes and start giving things away but suddenly I am anxious to look through it all. I want to pull things out that baby girl can still wear (Texas Rangers and TCU stuff), pull a few outfits of the boys for memory keepsakes, and then I plan to share the rest with Kyle’s cousin and a friend of ours expecting a boy in November.

Hardest Moment this week: I had a bit of a scare on Monday at the doctor.  Each time they do a urine test and the nurse came in and said ‘you have medium to large amounts of blood in your urine. Are you noticing symptoms of a UTI like painful urination?’ I hadn’t noticed anything except for peeing often but that is common with pregnancy. She said with that amount of blood I should have been uncomfortable. They would send it to the lab and see what is going on. Well 10 minutes later she comes back and said ‘the doctor wants to do a physical exam and make sure there isn’t any other bleeding or concerns.’ I felt confident things were okay but my heart instantly started racing and my eyes filled with tears. I changed into the gown and said Hail Mary’s until the doctor came in. She did a quick check and confidently said ‘everything looks great so I suspect UTI or kidney stone since you are prone to them.’

When thinking back about the nurses comment about  ‘medium to large amounts of blood’ makes me laugh because I haven’t seen any and when I had my kidney stone right after Casen my urine looked like cranberry juice. So her scale is different than mine.

I can't wait: to actually see baby girl on the 23rd and to pick out a name for her. Right now the front runner is Chloe. I also like Camden and Caroline (which has been nixed because of the sound of Caroline Cline). The middle name is definitely Marie.

Lab results Wednesday or Thursday

Next dr appt is the anatomy sono July 23rd.

Last night Casen came running into my bedroom saying ‘I love you the mostest mommy. And I love baby girl the mostest too’ and then he ran off.

Cooper is unsure about touching my belly or kissing it the way Casen is very affectionate. But this week he touched it once and still prays for C3PO every night.

It's a Girl! 4th of July Gender Reveal

The gender reveal went great. Not perfect because nothing ever is but it was great! We had a great spread of 4th of July themed food. A wives tale quiz to see what gender it indicated (girl) and a names list. Then we went outside to let the kids do some little fireworks until dark. Everyone was very anxious to start the fireworks but I said I wanted it to be dark so we could get a good video for memory and to share with friends and Facebook. Unfortunately the closer to dark the more windy it got. And right as we started getting ready we heard lots of sirens and saw smoke. There was a fire in the neighborhood on the hill next to us. We decided to do the firework anyway because hello it was the reason we were all there. Kyle hid behind a box which was originally there to hide whether he was lighting pink or blue but ended up coming in handy to get the firework actually lit. Then it wouldn’t light and David went to help him while we all anxiously waited. Finally it lit and blew up about 5 -10 feet off the ground! It was pink!!! We were all cheering, screaming, excited and shocked.

I think Kyle and David nearly peed their pants when it went off right above them and then they were stomping out the grass!! We all missed this because we were too busy celebrating. At that point we stopped all fireworks because the wind was just too crazy and seeing what happened with the gender firework scared us on what could happen.

Most of our family thought boy so everyone was pretty shocked it was a girl. I told them I had already known for 4 days and I was still shocked. Casen was so excited to find out he is getting a baby sister and Cooper was disappointed but didn’t cry or anything.  Later they both ran up to me and hugged my belly. They had a fun evening and are excited for the new baby to arrive.

Wednesday morning Casen climbed on the couch next to me and said ‘I just want to check on baby sister (pat my tummy) yep, she’s good’  And I melted.

Thursday morning he ran into daycare telling his teachers he is getting a baby sister.

Ordered this invite from Etsy

The food spread. Jen came over and helped me get everything ready which she did with the other two so it was fun doing it all again.  We had- a flag meat, cheese, and cracker tray, red and blue berries with cool whip, veggies and chips with dip, BBQ klobase, cookies, chickfila nuggets (thanks to Mimi), and a flag oreo ball tray (thanks to Lusa and Babi).

Mimi also brought a basket of popcorn treats for everyone in the basket below the table

Aunt Jen Jen made these shirts for the boys

I filled out the wives tale board

Team Girl

Team Boy

Our sweet family of 4. Jen made my shirt that said red, white, and due.

Jen is the best friend. Kyle and I are so lucky to have David and Jen in our lives.

Doing some of the little kid fireworks until dark

The gender reveal firework blowing up!!

I saw something similar on pinterest so with Jen behind the camera and Susan, my mom, Melisa, and I holding sparklers we created this for the announcement. I was shocked we actually got it to work (thanks to Jen for knowing what to do with camera settings)

18 Weeks Along

July 3rd

How Far Along: 18 Weeks (45% done!)

Size of baby: Sweet potato (5.5 inches long, 5oz)

Total Weight Gain/Loss: 1.0 lb

Maternity Clothes: Normal clothes but added the belly band to make my pants last longer. I need to buy a few pairs of maternity dress pants. A lot of the ones my sister and I had have been well worn and are outdated. I need to do some Old Navy maternity shopping

Gender: The gender reveal is tonight at our 3rd of July party.  But I actually already know. And so does Kyle.

Movement: flutters. I am so anxious for the boys to feel the baby. It is a while away and I may regret wishing for kicks later.

Sleep: Still flip from side to side.

What I miss: sleeping on my stomach and back

Cravings: Chipotle, Rosa’s, breakfast tacos (like Taco Cabana, Tio Tony’s, not sonic and stuff like that)

Symptoms: I am feeling good. Some stretching pains if I move to quickly, but this was a good week.

Best Moment this week: I opened the envelope Saturday night. I decided that I wanted to know already so I can enjoy watching everyone else react. I especially want to see the boys’ reactions.  Have I mentioned how much fun it is experiencing this pregnancy with the boys? I just love it!

Hardest Moment this week: Not opening that envelope. And then deciding if I wanted to. And now keeping the secret.

I can't wait: For the gender reveal and to start talking names

Next dr appt is July 9th. Anatomy sono with doctor is July 23rd.
