26 Weeks Along

Aug 28th

How Far Along: 26 Weeks (65% done!)

Size of baby: eggplant (9.2 inches long, 2lbs)

Total Weight Gain/Loss: 11.5lbs

Maternity Clothes: dresses, maternity jeans, and a few other pieces. I need to buy one more pair of pants.

Gender: Baby Girl – Chloe Marie Cline

Movement: Lots of movement and I love it

Sleep: the usual, switch from hip to hip, pee 2-3 times a night, and snoring which is keeping Kyle up so we are trying to figure that out.

What I miss: I don’t know

Cravings: No new cravings this week- still Mexican food (chipotle, Rosa’s, chips and queso), pina coladas

Symptoms: lots of Braxton Hicks, back pain that is likely kidney stone related, my skin has finally cleared up so that is nice not to be dealing with the giant pimples anymore.

Best Moment this week: I got a package in the mail from my college roommate sending me some cute TCU hand-me-downs and a few other things. And a lady at work gave me a cute swimsuit that her granddaughter never got to wear. We love hand-me-downs and sweet surprises. Oh I also got a pair of workout capris from a friend that are great.

I can't wait: for our sonogram with the boys!

Sept 14th- glucose test and checkup

Sept 25th - 3D/4D sonogram with the boys

Sept 26th- first two week appt checkup!!

25 Weeks along

Aug 21st

How Far Along: 25 Weeks (62.5% done!)

Size of baby: rutabaga (9 inches long, 1.7lb)

Total Weight Gain/Loss: 12.0lbs

Maternity Clothes: I still haven’t found a pair of skinny work pants I like so it has been dresses, skirts, and jeans lately. I went through the maternity boxes this weekend and washed a lot of shirts and a few pants. I don’t love any of them but I am cheap and don’t want to waste money on maternity clothes. I did order a pair of running shorts and workout leggings from Kohls on sale to be comfy on the evenings and weekends.

Gender: Baby Girl – Chloe Marie Cline

Movement: Chloe is a busy little girl and I love it! You can see it from the outside. She likes to hangout on my right side so my belly often looks lopsided.

Sleep: Still flip from side to side. Get up to pee twice a night most nights

What I miss: I don’t know

Cravings: Mexican food always sounds good, breakfast tacos, something sweet after a meal, the usual

Symptoms: lots of Braxton Hicks, the last two days my feet have hurt at the end of the day but so far no swelling.

Best Moment this week: We have decided on the baby bedding. It is pink and a blue green color with a white background. We also rearranged Cooper’s room to fit both beds with the nightstand in between. We are on night 2 of it going okay. The next step is buying some drawers to organize their closet and combine space. Then we can start working on Chloe’s room.

I can't wait: for our sonogram with the boys! Monday morning Casen said ‘how many weeks until baby sister gets here’ and I said 15. He said ‘ughhhh that is so long!!’

Last night Cooper and I were playing soccer in the driveway and he was beating me. He said ‘momma, its okay to run.’ And I said well its hard because I don’t have shoes on and I have a big belly.’ He said ‘Yeah, well when she is out of your tum tum you will be better at soccer’ J

Dr appt update- I did not get a sonogram last week.  Chloe’s heartrate was in the 150s and sounded good. I had moderate blood in my urine (still not visible to me, but it seemed more yellow so I figured they would say that) so they sent that to the lab but I never heard back so I am assuming no infection. We still assume this is related to some kidney stones and after Chloe gets here I might see an urologist to make sure there isn’t anything I should be doing.

My next appt I will be 28 weeks and is Sept 14th. At that appointment I will do my glucose test. Previously she mentioned possibly doing a sonogram at 28 weeks but she didn’t mention it and I didn’t ask. After that appointment I switch to appointments every 2 weeks! So exciting!

24 weeks along

Aug 14th

How Far Along: 24 Weeks (60% done!)

Size of baby: ear of corn (8.5 inches long, 1.5lb)

Total Weight Gain/Loss: 9.5lbs

Maternity Clothes: Broke out my new old navy maternity jeans this week. My hips must have expanded some because my work pants are pretty tight with the belly band so I am going to have to let those go.

Cravings: Bagels, Mexican food (specifically Rosa’s crispy beef taco plate), frozen pina coladas

Symptoms: random Braxton Hicks, some tailbone pain and lots of peeing

Best Moment this week: It has been a nice easy week. Little girl moves a lot which I love to know she is doing well. I ordered a different baby bedding and it came in last night. I want to look closer at it tonight and decide if it is for sure the one I want to keep.

I can't wait: to get the boys in one room (they are really fighting us on this) and to start organizing her room.

Next dr appt is this Friday August 17th. I am excited because I had a confirmation voicemail earlier and they mentioned a sonogram. Fingers crossed I get a sonogram this week!

We also scheduled our 3D/4D sonogram with the boys for September 25th. I can’t wait!!

23 Weeks Along

Aug 7th

How Far Along: 23 Weeks (57.5% done!)

Size of baby: papaya (8 inches long, 1.2lb)

Total Weight Gain/Loss: 7.5lbs again Now that I have more energy and my gym renovations are done I am going to try to go 2-3 days a week. Yesterday I walked on the treadmill for 30 minutes. Nothing crazy just staying active.

Maternity Clothes: Same as before, dresses, skirts, and belly band with regular clothes.

Gender: Baby Girl – Chloe Marie Cline

Movement: Lots of regular movement but she does not like to move for her daddy. Kyle checks regularly and she never moves. Now it is just a running joke…though maybe it is because he calls her ‘mommy’s mean kid’ or ‘what is your mean kid doing’ and he attempts to feel her
J

Sleep: Still flip from side to side. Get up to pee twice a night most nights

What I miss: not sure. Maybe lunch meat because lately I have been wanting turkey sandwiches at home.

Cravings: salads (I made one with homemade ranch last night), potbelly, Mexican food (specifically Rosa’s crispy beef taco plate), frozen pina coladas (I have been craving this since June. I had a virgin one a few weeks ago on a date night with David and Jen and I can’t stop thinking about it). This morning I had a craving for punch. I always love punch at baby showers, wedding showers, graduation parties, etc. Too bad you can’t make it in small portions without wasting lots of ingredients.

Anyone hosting a party soon and want to invite me or share some punch?

Symptoms: random Braxton Hicks, tailbone pain if I sit for too long, lots of peeing, my skin is breaking out less. I feel good honestly. This is the happy space before I gain another 20lbs.

Best Moment this week: Not much happened last week. We are trying to combine the boys into one room so we can have a nursery and keep a playroom. That isn’t going well. We tried this over the last few years and Casen just doesn’t do well with Cooper. He keeps Cooper awake and takes forever to fall asleep. In the last 10 days I have found a puzzle and craft kit in Cooper’s bed when I go in in the morning. And today I found them both asleep in the playroom with the tv on. Casen woke Cooper up at some point in the night.  So this transition isn’t going great and we definitely have to figure it out before school starts so Cooper is getting enough rest.

I can't wait: To have a room for the nursery and start putting stuff in there. Then I feel like I can start pulling stuff down from the attic, assemble the crib, and store some of the random stuff around the house.

Next dr appt is August 17th.

22 weeks along

July 31st

How Far Along: 22 Weeks (55% done!)

Size of baby: spaghetti squash (8 inches long, 1lb)

Total Weight Gain/Loss: 7.5lbs Seriously! I gained 2.5lbs in one week! This is not good!

Maternity Clothes: Normal clothes with belly band and lots of dresses!

Gender: Baby Girl – Chloe Marie Cline

Movement: This girl is a mover and a shaker. Kyle and my sister Angela have also felt her move now. Sometimes it can be pretty uncomfortable but I love the reminder that she is growing and thriving.

Sleep: Still flip from side to side.

What I miss: sleeping on my stomach and back

Cravings: I made the Chicken Spaghetti and it was delicious. I ate it for two meals and froze individual containers to take for lunch. Made another batch of pasta salad last night. My granny made guacamole dip last week and sent the leftovers home with me…so good!! I made a delicious new cake recipe that was simple and different. I have eaten a slice every day since…So now I see where those 2.5 pounds came from!

Symptoms: I feel like I am doing good right now. Sometimes my back hurts by the end of the day and some random pains from stretching but I feel good. Just feeling pretty big already and I know what is to come so I know this isn’t big.

Best Moment this week: Spending time with my sister and her family. They got to see me pregnant, talk about the baby, they gifted us some cute things, and it is crazy knowing the next time they are here baby girl will be in our arms.

The other best moment was deciding her name is Chloe Marie Cline. It isn’t a great amazing story but it is how it happened- Kyle has been saying ‘so what is her name?’ here and there. Then Saturday he said it again and I said ‘I don’t know’ and he said ‘I think you do….’ I responded ‘do I?’ and he said ‘yeah I am good with it’….so that is how we made the decision….he is good with it J

I cleaned out the boys closets this weekend to evaluate the idea of combining them to one room. I am now thinking we might move the boys to Casen’s room because it has the biggest closet. Cooper’s closet setup isn’t great for all of their clothes since we won’t have a dresser in the room. But Casen has started sleeping with Cooper each night since he has the full bed. Kyle or I lay in there with them so they behave and we have a ways to go but I think that will be the plan.

I can't wait: To go through some bins from Melisa. She went into her attic and found some bins of clothes from the first year. Since we are in opposite season some stuff won’t work but she can us one bin of clothes, one box of bows and tutus, and two boxes of blankets and burp cloths. This makes me anxious to combine the boys so I have closet space to put things away for baby girl. Our house is feeling a bit chaotic right now.

Next dr appt is August 17th.

21 Weeks Along

Different days, outfits, and angles

July 24th

How Far Along: 21 Weeks (52.5% done!)

Size of baby: banana (7 inches long, 11 ounces)

Total Weight Gain/Loss: 5lbs

Maternity Clothes: Normal clothes with belly band and lots of dresses!

Gender: It’s a girl!! She doesn’t have a name yet so we call her baby girl or baby sister

Movement: So much movement now. In fact last night I saw my belly move so I had Coop come feel and sure enough he felt her! I have made Kyle try to feel her a few times but he is impatient so no luck yet. And Casen says he can feel her but I think he is just wishing it so bad.  He sure does love his baby sister. He rubs my tummy, gives it kisses and hugs, and love to come ‘check on her’

Sleep: Still flip from side to side.

What I miss: sleeping on my stomach and back

Cravings: Chicken Spaghetti (ingredients at home ready to be made), pasta salad (check), blue bell fudge bars (check), Mexican food and breakfast food. Carbs, carbs, carbs.

Symptoms: I am feeling good. Skin is breaking out, some Braxton Hicks but not as many lately, feeling our very active little girl. Other than that I feel great. Enjoying this before the waddling, swelling, and back pain set in.

Best Moment this week: Seeing our pretty little girl on that sonogram tv. She was just precious and I fell completely in love. I am now officially anxious to meet her. I can’t wait to see her again in about 2 months and see if she has any hair and is nice and chubby. And yes Kyle and I were glad they could confirm yes it was a girl.

I still have a strong desire to purge but also trying to decide if I want to hang on to some things in case Jen gets prego with a boy. I will be sad if I get rid of it and she could have used some of it.

I am going to start with the playroom and boys’ rooms before heading back to the attic. This will give me some time.

Thinking I will make a baby bedding decision soon. I am now leaning to fabric at Hobby Lobby.

Hardest Moment this week: Nothing really. This has been a good, easy week.

I can't wait: To decide on baby girl’s name. Kyle threw out a few names last week (Piper, River, Keira) but he didn’t love them just threw out some ideas. I didn’t love any of them. Honestly I think it will be Chloe and he likes the name just wants to consider other names too.

Next dr appt is August 17th.

Anatomy Sonogram

7/23/2018

We just got back from our anatomy sonogram and 21 week check up.  Baby girl is gorgeous!! She is already chubby, active, and has long legs. She has the sweetest little profile. Her heartrate was 142 again and she is about 11 oz which average is 9-12. She was a busy little girl during the sono putting her hands by her face, opening her mouth, kicking her legs, and just wiggling. She has the same marker on her heart that Casen had but it usually means nothing with no other markers present. So the doctor isn’t worried and knowing Casen was just fine makes me not worried either. The sono tech mentioned another sono at 36/37 weeks to check growth, position, and fluid levels. Then Dr Atkins mentioned possibly a sono at 28 weeks.

There was still a small amount of blood in my urine but less. Just need to drink lots of fluids and let them know if I have pain. I got back on Aug 17th for my next checkup which will be just shy of 25 weeks.
