On Saturday the 21st we celebrated Sylvester Christmas. Our family has grown so much now that we rent a space to have it. This way no one has to clean before or after the party and no one's home gets destroyed by the kids...because there are a lot of kids!
Each year a different Sylvester child (my mom and her siblings) hosts and their family plans the menu, schedule, activities, etc. This year was the Mikulas turn and they did a great job. We had fajitas and all the fixins. Then we brought appetizers and desserts. There was way too much food but it was delicious.
So here is my mom with her four siblings and my Grandad
Her is Grandad with 15 of 16 grandkids (only missing Angela)
And here is Grandad with 26 of 29 great-grandkids (only missing Annelise, Catelyn, and Cameron)
Now you understand why I mentioned someone's house being destroyed
Here are the 2 youngest great-grandkids. Chloe is exactly 4 months older than Evie. Ha! Our little peanut
Now some of these are out of order but I don't feel like fixing them all chronologically.
This girl was so excited to see her granddaddy
My cousin Nolan and I
Lots of gabbing and laughing
Oh my sweet Cooper. Just minutes after this picture was taken he got a splinter in his finger and it ruined about 2 hours of his night (and kind of mine too because there was so much drama around getting the splinter out)
Tinsley is so sweet with Chloe but below shows you how she is always up in Chloe's face and sometimes Chloe will let her know to back off lol.
Here is some of the splinter removal team. The poor guy wanted it out but was just so scared. And we were all tempted to hold him down and just do it but we were also trying not to make and scene or ruin the fun.
This picture below was taken about 5 hours later after we just put some Neosporin and a bandaid over it and let him go play. Then he suddenly came up to me and said he was ready for me to try again. And sure enough I got it! Typical Cooper- it has to be on his time.
Me and my sweet Casen Andrew. He was so good and had so much fun with his cousins.
The boys being boys
Us girls
See again. Ha!
My mom and her sisters
Present time. This time is short and sweet because most of the kids just have one present to open from the gift exchange. And I love that it is so simple and about the friends, playing, and fun instead of presents.
We also did an ornament exchange for whomever wanted to participate. At this point it was late so lots of kids were already changed into their comfies.
And she's out. The guys were watching some of our old home videos from when we were little. And this picture just makes me smile at how blessed I am. I love my cousins so much and we love each others kids too. Everyone just passes babies around, wipes snotty noses, pours drinks, makes a plate, breaks up fights, and gives them cuddles. Sylvester Christmas and Sylvester Easter are 2 of my favorite days of the year.
And this was my car when I pulled into the driveway. Exhausted and blessed.
Here are a few videos of Chloe practicing walking.
