On the 3rd Babi stayed the night with us so she took the boys to school for us the next morning. Kyle was off all week so he or my mom would get the boys off to school.
Kyle hung out with Chloe while I got cleaned up for our day
Our sweet girl was so little and these onesies made by Aunt Lala fit her perfectly. When they showed up in the mail I thought my girl would be too big to fit in them but she showed us.
We headed to Chloe's first pediatrician appointment and I laughed at this half empty diaper bag. With baby #1 our bag was bigger and I am sure we packed half the nursery. My how things change with baby #3!
Sweet girl all bundled up. At 3 days old she was 5lbs even and he confirmed she is actually 18 inches long not 17. Dr Daniels confirmed she has a herniated belly button but he said it looked okay and we would see what it looked like after the umbilical cord fell off. However, her jaundice level was 14.25 so he wanted us to come back the following day to check them again.
As soon as Casen came home he wanted 'baby sister' time. So sweet with her!
She definitely had a jaundice look to her in this picture
Just cuddling with my girl
Aunt Jen Jen and Uncle David came to get some cuddles that evening
On the 5th we got all dressed up for another doctor's appointment. The good news is that my milk came in on the afternoon of the 4th so at her appointment she was already back to her birth weight of5lbs 4oz. Unfortunately her bilirubin level was up to 18.75 so he ordered phototherapy for her. A person from home health would come setup the equipment and would even come do the testing at our house.

Here is what she initially thought of the 'bilibed' It was so sad to see and I thought 'oh my gosh this is going to be torture!'
But then she settled in and fell asleep.
Chloe was supposed to be on the bilibed anytime she wasn't eating or being changed. She was in a diaper only then strapped in to the cover and then we used a blanket on top since she couldn't be swaddled. She also had a 'biliblanket' that was on her stomach in the bed. Anytime I nursed her I was also supposed to put the biliblanket on her back and then cover her in a blanket so she didn't get too cold.
The boys hated seeing her in the bed and it was also really hard for me because I missed holding her and cuddling. Cooper went to his religious education class and as soon as he got home he ran over to check on her. He was so glad to see she liked the bed.
Our girl got the nickname Glowy Chloe :)
That night we put the bed in the middle of our king bed (approved by home health) so we could get some sleep and watch her. My mom stayed the night and stayed with me and Chloe. It was just so nice to have my momma there during such a stressful time and to help during the night.
