Going home

We officially got discharged and headed home at 2pm on December 3rd.  We were tired and ready to be home. No more nurses checking vitals, heel pricks, and uncomfortable hotel beds.

I had a cute little newborn outfit picked out for Chloe but as soon as we heard her weight we knew we needed preemie. Luckily Chloe's Mimi did some quick shopping and brought us some outfits including this little owl sleeper.

She was so little it was scary buckling her in this big car seat.

All buckled in and ready to head home. She fussed for a few minutes and then settled right in.

Babi came home with the boys and she couldn't hold her fast enough

Babi took this gorgeous picture of her with the Christmas tree all lit up behind her.

Casen was excited to get his hands on her and held her like a pro.  He was comfortable with her from the beginning.

Cooper had no interest in holding her and I hate it but just let it be.  I knew he needed time.

The boys were very anxious when they heard her cry.  Coop said 'stop!!! don't hold her like that!'  I had to explain to them that crying doesn't mean she is hurt.  She is either hungry, tired, or needs a diaper change.  That is how she communicates until she learns words.

That night my mom stayed the night with us. She slept with me and Chloe (in her bassinet) and Kyle slept with the boys.  My mom was so much help and we made a good team.
